Ian Ziering Welcomes Daughter Mia Loren

It’s a girl for Ian Ziering!

The actor’s wife Erin delivered daughter Mia Loren Ziering at 10:09 p.m. Monday, April 25 in Los Angeles, PEOPLE confirms.

Weighing in at 7 lbs., 6 oz., the baby girl’s name begins with ‘M’ in honor of Ian’s late mother Mickie, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Well, it’s official, I’m a dad!,” the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 47, wrote on his Facebook page.

“As I sit holding Mia, Erin sleeps the most beautiful sleep. My thoughts race with visions of a brighter future, only made possible by what happens today… or, last night! God bless us all.”

The couple, who wed in May 2010, announced the pregnancy in October and celebrated with a baby shower last month.

congratulations to these two! loren is my brother’s middle name (and will most likely be the middle name of my soon-to-be-born nephew), so it has always seemed masculine to me. at least when spelled this way. but it sounds beautiful and flows perfectly with the name mia.

Loren can be a boy or girl name. I am a female & my first name is Loren. A lot of the time people mispronounce my name & say Lauren. But I like the fact that Loren is not over done like a lot of other “trendy” names. I think Mia Loren is a beautiful name!!
