It’s a boy for Toni Collette!

The star of Showtime’s The United States of Tara, 38,and husband David Galafassi‘s son was born on Friday, April 22 in Australia, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“Toni Collette, her husband David Galafassi and their daughter Sage [Florence, 3] are excited and proud to announce the arrival of their baby boy, Arlo Robert Galafassi,” the rep says.

“He was born on Good Friday making it the greatest Friday, indeed!” the couple said in a statement.

Collette was understandably absent from Saturday’s premiere of her new movie Jesus Henry Christ at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Saturday.

“She is doing well,” the film’s director David Lee told PEOPLE on the red carpet.

Julia Roberts is the executive producer of Jesus Henry Christ, which tells the story of a child genius who was conceived in a petri-dish and is determined to find his biological father.

Collette married musician Galafassi in 2003.

@Jana
I guess they kept up with the nature theme :-) Both Sage and Arlo are tree names.
Personally, I can say that “Sage” has started to grow on me recently and I’ve always found “Arlo” very nice. Those two names might sound unusual, but I think they are quite classy.

Lovely news! I’ve been waiting for this announcement! I love Toni Collette :) Congrats to the Galafassi/Collette family, how nice for Sage to have a little brother. Welcome to the world Arlo (beautiful name to go with beautiful Sage Florence)!

I have a little guy named Arlo. I love the name but am kind of sad a celebrity put it out there. Then again, I doubt a name like Arlo will catch on. At least I hope not. Congratulations to the happy family.

I’ve been waiting for this announcement, and especially to hear the name!! She hasn’t disappointed – Arlo is a great name, and goes beautifully with Sage!

Not a fan of the name Arlo at all. I do love the name Sage however. Congratulations Toni, David, and Sage!

Her hubby looks just like Grant Bowler in this pic.

I certainly wouldn’t use the name but I can see how Arlo would fit in his family. Many blessings to the baby boy!

Arlo is a nice name! Arlo Guthrie’s had it all these years, after all. David is a musician – perhaps he is a fan of Arlo Guthrie’s music?

I have a five-year old Arlo and everybody hated the name when I choose it but now it seems I’m hearing it more. Of my three boys, it is my favorite. Happy to see others agree :)
