Is it a baby — or a disco ball?

Thalía shows off her growing bump after lunching at Nello with husband Tommy Mottola on Sunday in Manhattan.

The Conexión Thalía host, 39, will welcome her second child with Mottola later this year.

The couple are already parents to daughter Sabrina Sakaë, 3½.

LOL, cute! Her bump literally looks like a disco ball! Congrats!

Toya L. on

Lol it sure does Amber, Thalia looks pretty as usual.

Mandy on

Congrats to them but who exactly is she? Is she an actual celebrity or one like a Housewife?

Ali on

How old is he? This looks like a father/daughter shot to me. Scary!

Angela on

I think she looks fantastic.

Mandy, Thalia is a singer and actress (spanish language i think). I think she released a English language album under Sony, which is how she met Mottola? Don’t quote me on that though…

Thalia’s a singer-songwriter and actress. As a child and teen, Thalia, was a in a couple of singing groups (Din Din and Timbiriche). Starting from her teens on, she also acted in soap operas and movies. Thalia was a megastar in Latin America and Asia from her late teens on. After she married Mottola, it seems she has worked less and less, especially as a singer and actress. I think she has a radio show now.

@ Mandy: Thalia was a one hit wonder recording artist about ten years ago. She looks wonderful.

Thalia is no one hit wonder. She’s been a star in Latin America since she was a teen. Both as a singer and a telenovela actress. Given that telenovelas are watched all over the world, she’s much better known then Tommy everywhere but in the US. She’s kind of like JLo in Mexico – with a fashion line, a perfume, and a bunch of other businesses. This girl is no housewife ;)

@Mellissa

Thalia is in no way a “one hit wonder.” She had many hits in Latin America, Asia, and the US Latin charts. She’s had a long career of about three decades (80s, 90s, 00s), though her last decade has been less busy that the first two. You might know her from her “cross over” English song with Fat Joe (called “I Want You” which came out in ’03), but that doesn’t define her whole career.

Mariah definitely upgraded! This guy’s grandpa, not daddy material.

I love her baby bump, looks so cute and ready to party hehe and she looks gorgeous. Ali-I believe Tommy is in his early 60′s….I know he was much older than Mariah and that was way back in the day. They don’t look like a couple to me either, more like father-daughter.

I didn’t recognize him. It looks like he lost a lot of weight. They look happy, so congrats!

Thalia is definitely not a one time hit wonder. SHe is a latina megastar, with tons of number 1 hits and several number 1 albums. She is a well known and respected actresses within the spanish-language market. She also has been in several soaps, the most famous one was Rosalinda that was translated in more than 30 languages. She is one of the most successful latin artists of all times.
