Kingston and Zuma Rossdale’s Matching Sibling Style

Brotherly love or adorable mini fashion face-off? Either way, it looks like Kingston, 4½, is passing his trendsetting style secrets on to little bro Zuma, 2½.

While dining out with parents Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale on March 30, Kingston rocked Gap Kids‘ edgy skull hoodie with blue jeans and hi-top sneakers. And a few days later on April 3, Zuma was sporting the same sweatshirt — complete with a painted-on eyepatch and cape! — during a birthday party.

But that wasn’t the first time the towheaded twosome were spotted out and about in coordinating looks. Last November, the boys both wore Rock World Tour Tie Dye Crewneck Tees ($8.50), olive green cargo pants and Vans checkered-print Kids Classic Kids Slip-Ons ($27). They even wore matching bunny one-pieces last Easter. Obviously, their stylish parents like to see them in similar outfits.

Each child should be seen as an individual. Similar outfits, fine, but the exact same thing? Lame!

Its nice to see a celeb “re-using” their children’s clothing. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

- Amy on

Shannon, if they never wore the same articles of clothing there’d be people saying “Why can’t they share? Most siblings have to!”

- Sadie on

Are they dressed alike (at the same time/place) or are they just sharing clothing, as most siblings do? Seems like the latter to me.

i loved dressing my kids the same. maybe diff colors, but same shirt, shorts, etc. It also helps if your going some where that’s the size of a mall or bigger. They’re easier to spot! LOL But once they get to a certain age, they don’t want to dress the same, so for those who disagree, it’s not an every day or for the rest of their lives issue as you’re making it seem to be. It’s fun, cute & there’s nothing wrong with it, especially if the kids are fine with it.

Tess, I didn’t even think about them wearing the same thing at the same time, that’s probably what Shannon meant by the importance of individuality. I just assumed they were separate occasions. The top picture looks like it’s on different days, but I’m not sure about the bottom picture.

It looks like Zuma was borrowing the sweatshirt for a dressup party. If you notice it fits Kingston just right and is pretty big on Zuma.

Yes I thought it was on the same day. lol

Hand me downs are fine with me.

Not that Gwen cares what I think! :p

I use to hate dressing up like my little sister growing up…I will never do this to my children…hopefully I will have a son and a daughter so sharing clothes won’t be an issue

- Erica2 on

These two cuties are rarely dressed alike, so when it does happen it’s kind of cute. I have noticed ‘hand me downs’ on Zuma and there is nothing wrong with that – till he gets lots older and starts complaining about it. lol

- Sam on

erica2 kids can still wear hand-me-downs even if they’re not the same sex. i wore my brothers old clothes sometimes when i was a kid. it saved my parents money and no one knew the difference. seriously a five year old girl wearing something like a blue hoodie, who’s going to know (or care?) that it ever belonged to her brother?
my kids wear hand-me-downs from their old siblings. why not? it just makes sense…
