They sure know how to make baby chairs across the pond!

British-based Mamas and Papas‘ sleek Loop Highchair ($359) is not only futuristic looking, it’s extremely functional.

Now on sale in the US, the chair features a handy height adjustable bar that easily lifts it up and down. And, the seat reclines to three positions so little ones can catch a nap after a big meal.

The seat also rotates around 360°, so you can turn your tot around to see you without lugging the whole thing around.

It’s also really simple to clean. The tray comes right off at the push of a button. Plus, the seat cover is machine washable.

Concerned about safety? It comes with a 5-point harness with two height settings so it adjusts to both small and big kids. For more information, go to mamasandpapas.com.

I dont care what it does or what it looks like, that is a ridiculous price for a high chair.

Patricia on

Now that’s really a cool design.

Does it do laundry or something?

I’m sorry, but $400 for a high chair is absurd. I will give it to people who pay high prices for strollers that travel the city and or country and end up having a lot of mileage put into them, and carseats that keep children safe but I cannot find one good reason to spend this kind of money on a seat your kid is going to eat and no doubt make a mess in.

All the “great” things mentioned about this high chair can be found in 99.9 % of every other high chair out there on the market.

I just don’t get it.

hideous design. we paid only $300 for our swedish designed (svan) chair and thats because we had to pay to get it to us in east coast canada. our chair is extremely versatile (can convert all the way to a booster seat, and then an adult chair), compact, easy to use and clean, and its made of wood and looks like a great piece of furniture. this thing looks ugly, bulky, space age, and white (spaghetti sauce stains!?).

I wouldn’t pay the price, but I love the way this thing looks!!! LOVE IT!

Um yeah…I bought a highchair for about half that, and mine is a 4 in 1 system. Plus it has all of the bells and whistles that this one does. So I apologize but this is not “so cool!”…it is outrageously overpriced.

What a ridiculous price. I paid $30 for my chair and it got the job done for three kids. No wonders the average household debt is out of control in this country!!

Yes, I agree that this is way overpriced. If you are dead set on maintaining the modern design for your home and have the cash, then go for it. I guess I am not the client for this product.

there are three things that will take your money? weddings, funerals, and babies. Meaning it’s a high chair!! seriously, spending that much money on a high chair. Buy a normal one, the kid will just sit in it and eat (and make a huge mess). Sure it has great qualities, but I don’t know any mom’s that feed their babies and then let them sleep in the chair afterwards. Most kids get food in their seats, on them, and around them. So that’s kind of gross. Good luck to those that do want one. But put your money elsewhere – like a college fund.

Quit you whining! If you find it too expensive, don’t buy it. It’s as simple as that. Go buy a 69$ high chair at Walmart. This is a beautiful chair and those that can afford it love it.
