My three sons!

Brandon Flowers and wife Tana welcomed their third boy,Β Henry, on Wednesday, March 9, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The Killers frontman — who released his first solo record, Flamingo, last fallΒ — is already dad to sons Gunnar, 19 months, and Ammon, 3Β½.

Although he loves living the life of a rock star, Flowers, 29, expects to cut back on touring as his children grow older.

“I love music, but I want to spend more time with my children,” he recently told The Daily Mail. “I’d like to be around when they start school.”

I love the name Henry. πŸ™‚ Sounds like they have a busy house with three boys so close in age!

Soco on

I don’t get it, two weird names and one normal one? That will suck for all of them growing up.

Congratulations though on a new baby boy

Gunnar is interesting, Ammon is a religious name, and Henry is gorgeous. Nice work, Mr. Flowers.

Soco, well.. Gunnar is a very classic Northen name. Here it’s not uncommon. Ammon i dont have a clue about though, but i remeber that Brandon once said in a intervue that he wanted something that sounded harsh against the delicate surname.

Marie on

Yea, Ammon is the name of a prophet in the Book of Mormon. Brandon Flowers and his family are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Brandon and Tana better sock away the cash; they have three missionary accounts to fund now!

Are any of them of Scandinavian ancestry?

I’ve always liked Gunnar for a boy. I had a dream once that I had a two sons named Gunnar and Valdemar. πŸ™‚

Congrats to them, but to be honest I always immediately think of the Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive back when I hear his name.

πŸ™‚ i remember really disliking it when they named their son Gunnar, and then the combination of Gunnar and Ammon – just sounds like Gun and Ammo to me.
Henry, that’s a nice name and doesn’t make them sound like they’re declaring war πŸ˜‰

JM–Gun and Ammo, never would have thought it, but since you said it–likely will not get it out of my mind. Very clever you are! Blessings to the family!!

What an odd combination of names, I love them all individually but they don’t seem to flow well together IMO. Congratulations Brandon, Tana, Gunnar, and Ammon!

I love him. I’m glad to hear that he’s such a family man. He’s awesome.

Ammon is hebrew. It was the name of a city, and so a name of a group of people, the Ammonites. This is now Jordan, and the city is now Ammam. Dont no if thats why they picked it or not! It also sounds a lot like the Irish “Eamon,” to me so not that weird.

Gunner is a football club to me so Id never name my boy after the WRONG side of London! Lol! I agree it balances out “Flowers” though in terms of manlyness!!

I was waiting for this confirmation on here, I’m a fangirl, I admit it. Congrats to them!

Georgina, Ammon is like a really important figure in the Book of Mormon or something

I hate sib-sets.. so I love when children’s names aren’t smiliar.

Why do the names of a family’s children have to ‘flow together’? I can understand a mother and father gravitating towards a certain type of name, but that doesn’t mean you have to have a theme going on like Angie Harmon’s kids, for example (not a criticism, just as an example). After two or three kids it becomes more like an obligation to stick with a narrow constraint rather than picking a name you truly love or means something to you.

I love Brandon Flowers and his music both solo and wuth the Killers. He said in a interview that they chose the name Gunnar because they wanted a strong name to go with the last name Flowers. It was actually on a list of worst celebrity baby names like shortly after he was born?? I remember reading it. Gunnar is actually coming more popular. I see a lot of people using that name more as a middle name than first. I don’t think Brandon and his wife were thinking about violence when they were naming their kids. They obviously liked the names and they had significance to them. I wish then all the best and I hope everyone is happy and healthy! πŸ™‚

Aww I have to admit, I was really really hoping it would be a little girl. I love to see daddies with their daughters, and I think he would be a great dad to a little girl!

Henry is a nice name though. I do agree, Gunnar and Ammon sounds like they are declaring war lol

Georgina – It’s GunnAr, not GunnEr. Gunnar means warrior, fighter, or warrior from the north.

Hea, thanks for the english lesson, but I can read. I spelt it with an E because thats how its spelt when referring to The Gunners, which is a football club in London. Even though it is two different things that are spelt slightly differently, the prounouncation is exactly the same, which is why I said anyone in London will automatically think of that. That is in reference to someone saying it was Gunnar as in guns, I was saying thats not the only thing that springs to mind when I hear the name.

I also know Brandon is not from London, my comment was a joke, and just what the name meant where I was from.
