1 Trend, 3 Ways: Bright Maternity Maxi Dresses

Talk about bold and the bump! We’ve recently spotted loads of celeb moms-to-be in colorful maxis. Selma Blair opted for a tie-waist Tucker dress with a purple and red geometric print, while Pink rocked Rachel Pally‘s feather-print Gwyneth caftan ($277). And Devon Aoki wore an empire waist dress in soft, yet rich hues to run errands in Beverly Hills on March 5.

Not only are they a fun way to brighten up your maternity wardrobe, but maxis provide plenty of room for your burgeoning bump. Want one? We’ve rounded up our faves — for every budget — below.

Splurge

Mara Hoffman‘s Long Poncho Dress ($522) may not be maternity, but the deep scoop neck and ruched waist will more than accommodate your new curves. Plus, the silky rayon fabric will feel great against your skin.

I’m sorry, I still think Selma’s dress is from a print of a 1980’s optical illusions picture. She does wear it well!

Ooooo I love Devon’s dress and the first one, the splurge…I’m not pregnant again yet but I totally want one when I am!

The bargain buy one from Forever 21 is a great print, but according to the product description has a side zipper and most likely will not work for most pregnant women with a bump :)

I don’t care for those dresses. They look like the dresses my mothers & aunts wore back in the 70s

I love devon’s look! She is so glamorous in that dress. Too bad the picture is cropped… I wanted to see her fiance!

I am with you Megan! When I look at these dresses, all I can see is Mrs. Roper.
