Spotted: Ashlee Simpson and Bronx Book It

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

Say cheese!

After hanging with her friendly ex, Ashlee Simpson and 2-year-old son Bronx Mowgli team up for a good cause Sunday at the 2nd annual Milk + Bookies Story Time event at L.A.’s Skirball Cultural Center.

“He’s doing awesome,” Pete Wentz says. “He’s crazy. It’s something new everyday. Everything’s a new discovery for him. All of a sudden he’s opening doors and he wants to paint.”

“His new thing is hiding cell phones and credit cards and stuff,” Wentz continues. “I’m like, ‘So where’s Dad’s cell phone?’ And he laughs. He thinks it’s a comedy bit.”

Awww!! what a sweet mother/son pic!! Bronx looks so much like Pete here, only with blonde hair!

He really doesn’t look like Pete or Ashlee. What a cutie tho!

I’m still trying to figure out who Bronx looks like. He doesn’t really resemble either parent. He’s a cutie though!

Pete + Ashlee somehow = a baby Kevin Spacey. =)

@mmh – wow, I can totally see that one!

Cute – fun to see Bronx wearing a sweater from http://www.teacollection.com!

Am I the only one who fails to find Bronx’ habit of hiding important and expensive things funny? Why would anyone allow that? If my kids did that the hammer would come down… glasses, cell phones, wallets/purses are off limits to little hands in our house.

- Momof2 on

Momof2- The thing is, we don’t know that Ashlee and Pete DO allow Bronx to handle those things. Toddlers are very good at getting into things when you aren’t looking. Also, toddlers are very good at finding ways to get at stuff that you’d think they couldn’t! For example, when I was just a bit older than Bronx, I learned how to get at stuff on the top shelf of my closet by dragging over the rocking chair that was in my room and standing on it!

And around that same time, I figured out that I could get into my top dresser drawer by standing on a child-size table that was in my room. My parents quickly removed the table….but that didn’t stop me! I just used my bottom three dresser drawers as steps instead! Really, I think I was part mountain goat as a toddler! :)

Point being, Ashlee and Pete could very well be taking precautions to put the items Pete mentioned out of Bronx’s reach….but Bronx is a sneakky little boy and figures out how to get to them!

That child is so not cute. Poor thing.

lmao the comment section IS for opinions….Mary’s entitled to think Sam Ronson’s baby is ugly

Court, sticks and stones may break bones, but calling poor Mary names will never change the truth that this kid is not an extraoridinarily “cute” baby, so I think you are both stupid and blind.

Learn the old nursery rhyme and try it out and see how you sound:
“I’m rubber, you’r glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you”

Nyaa Nyaa!

Momof2, I thought the same thing!! A child will not get into the things you don’t want them to get into.

CBL, Climbing into a closet? Yikes! My child would never be able to do that. Safety first in our house. And in regards to the credit cards. Those are all in a wallet, put a way. Cell phones are in a place where she can’t get them….so are the knives, forks, and other silverware and dangerous items. I know you mentioned you don’t have children. As a mom, my child certainly gets into things, but nothing that I don’t want her to get into. IMO, I don’t think their child getting into the cell phone, credit cards and stuff is a big deal to them. They think its funny. I wouldn’t. Every parent is different.
