For the life of me, even after reading the article, I can’t see the draw for that silly giraffe.

My kid was ‘gifted’ one and it STINKS. That rubber smell is horrible and my baby never really liked it. Not only that but he would teeth on the ears and the paint came off. To me that doesn’t sound very safe.

Wow! I’m surprised Sophie only crossed the ocean now! I don’t know many Europeans of my generation or after who didn’t have a Sophie and, to this day, I still love seeing kids chewing on it!

It’s funny that Americans love Sophie. I’m French so at home it’s “automatic” that every baby has one but it’s still just a cute rubber teething toy, I would have thought that every country or baby brand made their own.
