Penélope Cruz & Javier Bardem Hit First Red Carpet Since Baby

Penélope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem are brand-new parents by day, and now they’re officially a glamorous Hollywood couple by night as they walked their first red carpet – ever – as mom and dad, at the Oscars Sunday night.

Cruz, 36, and Bardem, 41 and nominated as Best Actor for his role in Biutiful, wowed the fans lining the red carpet on their way into the Kodak Theatre.

Cruz, who just gave birth to a baby boy five weeks ago, revealed her rocking post-baby body, cloaking herself in a shiny, full-length red dress by L’Wren Scott that showed a trim tummy and accented ample cleavage.

As she smiled shyly as cameras flashed around them, Bardem kept a firm hold of her hand.

The pair quietly married last July and make a point of keeping their relationship as private as possible. Except, it seems, at the year’s biggest awards show.

Brooke- That is the current rumor. A producer (I think it was the producer of a movie or TV show Penelope was doing) referred to the baby as Leo. However, then he said he didn’t know the baby’s name, so no one knows whether that’s the name or not.

Anyway, I was really hoping they’d announce the name at the Oscars!

She looks amazing! she is so beautiful (and so is her husband!) I heard she had a c section? Wow- and she looked like that one month after a c section? One month after my c section I was still very much in pain and mostly in bed! I wonder how she is feeling. I love this couple- so good together. I bet their little one is beautiful.

I’m not a huge fan of the dress, but you can’t deny that she looks gorgeous, especially for having a baby so recently! I’m so glad to not see rants about her being out with her hubby and leaving the baby at home. They are a beautiful couple. I’m sure their baby is stunning too

Alot of tacky opinions here. That cleavage is not classy or tasteful in any way. It’s very tacky. It’s the oscars people, not some ghetto block party. I’m sure she’s proud of her big boobs, but common people.

I will first say I have ZERO problems with any mother leaving their baby at home to go out or to an event like this. I went out for a bit when my daughter was young. BUT, why were people harping at Christina Applegate…..and not at Penelope? There children are about the same age and they are both attending work related events.

Either way…..she looks stunning. The dress is very her. I am not a fan of the cleavage showing dresses. Shows a bit too much for my liking.

I personally don’t get Javier’s appeal, but Penélope looks stunning. That’s a lot of boobage on display, too much for my taste, but she does look great.
