Hmm when I did my son’s nursery we made sure all cords were secure which can be done with cheap simple devices sold at baby stores the blind cord device is just $2.

I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t have crossed those parent’s minds that putting a corded item near their child’s crib would be hazardous. Yes I know this item needs to be in the vacinity but we mounted it over my son’s crib and had the cord where he couldn’t possibly reach it.
