Ziggy Marley and his wife Orly Agai Marley have a new addition to their growing brood.

The couple welcomed a baby boy, Abraham Selassie Robert Nesta Marley, on Wednesday, Jan. 26 in Los Angeles.

This is the third child together for singer-songwriter and Agai, Marley’s manager and wife of more than six years. They also have daughter Judah Victoria, 5½, and son Gideon Robert Nesta, 4.

Marley, the eldest son of late music legend Bob Marley, is a Grammy award-winning musician.

The entire family is healthy and happy, according to his rep.

My goodness there is a baby boy boom today! Congratulations to Ziggy, Orly, Judah, and Gideon on baby Abraham! It’d be really cool to be able to say Bob Marley is your grandpa! :)

Congratulations to the entire family, Ziggy is a talented musician. Still miss Bob, can’t believe its almost 31 years since he passed.

Macy on

are Robert and Nesta family names? Kinda weird to see both boys have the same middle names.

Caleb, Leo, Ava and Evie's Mum on

@ Macy

Nesta Robert Marley was his Dad’s (Bob Marley) full name.

Congratulations, the Marley family are very talented and I actually like the name.

KC on

Bob Marley’s given name was Nesta Robert Marley.

Mallory on

Congrats to the family! Prefer Abram over Abraham but Abraham matches their trend of Biblical, old-sounding names better.

CBB, a question – he has other kids, as well, how come they aren’t listed? You usually list all of a person’s children, even if they’re from a previous marriage/relationship.

Man, those Marleys sure are fertile. :)

CelebBabyLover on

I don’t remember them ever announcing a pregnancy, so this was a big surprise to me! Congrats to them!

ELO on

Congratulations to the Marley family! I love the name.

CelebBabyLover – I hadn’t until the beginning of January, either. A photo of Ziggy and Orly was posted on another site (I don’t recall which one) and she was quite far along. I do recall that it said she was due in January, though.

I really like the name Abraham! Congrats to the whole family!!

LOVE THE NAME!!!!!

You see such warmth in his eyes when you look at him…you can tell that he’s a really amazing person and a great dad as well. I seem to remember reading an article somewhere (might have been here, who knows?) about how important it was for him to always be there for his kids since he lost his dad at such a young age. Congratulations to Ziggy, Orly and all the kids on their new arrival!

Ha…that’s the weirdest question you’ve seen here? Then you haven’t been here long…

loren on

@Kelly I thought the same thing :-)

Jill on

Kelly and Loren, I am with the both of you! Weirdest question? Please……

nelly on

Why i stated that its a weird question that macy asked is because ..bob marley is known WORLD WIDE ..people from all walks of life know the man and the music thats why its weird that she didnt know his ..but if she doesnt know about him more power to her

Kelly on

Bob Marley may be known world wide, but I don’t know that it’s common to remember middle names of individuals (however famed) generally known by their first and last monikers.

Amber on

I agree. Asking about Nesta and Robert is not a strange question. @Nelly…are you kidding? You can’t be serious.

Dana on

Oh Lord, that poor baby :( Truly a horrific name….

Jill on

I also know Bob Marley. We have a TON of his CD’s…..but have no clue what his middle names are or the middle names for my favorite singers.

Hi on

Dana- How is his name horrific? His name is Abraham, which is actually pretty normal. Sure, his middle name is a bit weird, but he’s not going to introduce himself as Abraham Selassie. He’ll introduce himself as Abraham.

Marie on

Bob Marley’s middle name was Robert, his first name was Nesta. Even if you didn’t know this surley you’d have the sense to know Bob is short for Robert and that would explain why his sons have Robert in their names. Lovely name, Abraham Selassie is not horrific, maybe try googling Rastafari and find out the signance of Emperor Haile Selassie to this movement.
