Fab Sale: 35% Off of the Ritmo Music Player!

Courtesy Nuvo Group

Playing tunes for yourself and your unborn child can be a sweet and relaxing pre-birth bonding experience. And thanks to Nuvo Group‘s Ritmo Music Player ($130), it can also be comfortable. The lightweight (and supportive!) band features four mini speakers that hug the belly in just the right places to provide optimal surround sound for developing ears.

Not only is a great gift for mom-to-be music lovers, but it’s a fun way for dads to get close to baby before he’s born too.

No Doubt rocker Tony Kanal played his own songs, as well as, some from his favorite artists (Bob Marley, The Clash, Prince) to daughter Coco Reese while she was still in the womb. Other celeb fans includes Ian Ziering, Chris Daughtry, Bree TurnerAlana de la Garza, Bethenny Frankel and Kate Dillon.

In honor of the Ritmo turning one, the company would like to offer our readers an exclusive discount. Until Feb. 28, the state-of-the-art music player will be $85 plus free shipping when you enter code RITMO85 at checkout.

Insane. What in the world will someone come up with next?

- megan on

- hillary on

I have one. I LOVE it. Fantastic product:) Every pregnant woman should have one!

- tina on

wow that’s dumb! Don’t people know that the baby can hear just fine if you play music from a radio? It doesn’t have to be pushed up against your stomach or cranked up!

- Sib on

Sib, I always think the same thing when I see ads for this type of products. WHO buys it? I mean besides those celebrities above?? and this claim ‘to provide optimal surround sound for developing ears’ just kills me.

- Kate on

Really why do you all have to be so negative and why do you go onto a celebrity site if you are going to pick everything apart? this is BRILLIANT! I wish I had this when I was pregnant it is amazing to share with the baby in vitro!

- michelle on

Leave your unborn baby alone! I’m glad to see there aren’t any claims of making your fetus smarter (because that’s just not the case). Seriously, this push to make your baby smarter by playing him/her music and plopping him/her in front of that “Your Baby Can Read” nonsense is just ridiculous.

Turn up the music in your own house, dance with your partner (your baby will definitely enjoy this) and save the $130 for something that will really be necessary, like diapers! And when that precious baby arrives, love him/her. Sing and read to him/her. Enjoy him/her because it goes by SO quickly. You don’t need any of these gimmicks!

Ridiculous, stupid, silly, ludicrous, and so on….

That picture is so beautiful!

- Lena on

My friend has one and loves it.

- Shannon on

my mum used to play Mozart through the stereo when she was pregnant with my brother and he always responded and would start kicking. i don’t think the two are necessarily connected but he grew up to be extremely musical and he still loves mozart.

my point really is that you don’t need these strange contraptions, my mum managed decades ago by just turning on the stereo and the baby could clearly hear it. so why spend all that money?

- JM on

what.a.joke.

- Laura on

That little boy looks too sweet! So handsome!

- Indira on

I’m sure these celeb fans loved this contraption because it was gifted to them for free at that Baby Boom Boom Room or some other celeb swag party.

- J on

My hubby want me to get it but I said no. He found it on thinkgeek.com for $89. Still a waste of money for me.

- Jayne on

This is hilarious and weird looking! $130, come on. I would put my iPod speakers on my belly and the baby would kick where the speakers were. I also read to her. You don’t need this contraption for the baby to hear music.

Five years from now it will be announced that the Ritmo is unsafe. That little boy model is so adorable! I love his facial expression he should continue being a model for children’s wear. When he is older/teenager he is going to be so attractive.
