After a glam night out at the Producers Guild Awards, Amy Adams spends a relaxing day kicking back at the beach with her fiancé Darren Le Gallo and their 8-month-old daughter Aviana Olea on Sunday in Los Angeles, Calif.

“I’ve been working out when I can … but losing weight is not my number one priority,” The Fighter star, 36, said recently.

“It’s part of my job to return to some semblance of what I was before. But I don’t feel I’ve ever made my career on my rockin’ bod.”

Her baby is 8 mos old. How long should she carry baby weight? She acknowledged that it’s part of her job to lose it, just that it’s not all she thinks/talks about.

Oh, just when I thought there could not be a more precious picture than the one of her and her daughter swinging at the park!

Maybe losing weight isn’t a priority for her. Baby weight really does just fall off some women. I don’t see a need to complain about that statement.

Sorry, Katie… not everyone looks at having a child as an excuse to stay fat forever.

Eight months is plenty of time to have gotten pretty close to where you were before, ESPECIALLY if you were fit before.

that picture is so cute and fitting considering her name. she looks like a little bird that’s just taken off and amy is holding onto her rather than lifting her up.

and while i don’t agree with the way you said it janna – eight months is plenty time to lose baby weight. and it should be a concern for new mothers, especially new mothers. you want to keep yourself healthy – you have a more important reason to keep yourself healthy than any superficial one.

plus amy doesn’t look too thin. she has great muscle tone on her arms. she looks fit and strong.

Maybe the key to losing “baby weight” is to not use pregnancy as an excuse to gain so much that it takes a year to lose it? The baby weight is gone once the baby is born. The rest never was baby weight, it was mommy weight lol!
