The star hits the Malibu beach with his brood — son Levi, 2½, and daughter Vida, 1 — on Sunday.
McConaughey, 41, and longtime love Camila Alves recently returned from a trip to the model’s native Brazil.

Good spot, SP! I was shuddering to think what a solo trip to the beach would be like with one child, let alone two, so I’m glad had help with him.
I think the nappies look so wet because they’ve soaked up a fair amount of seawater.

They dont have a nanny. Camila’s mother lives with them and helps them with the children all the time.

I think the diapers were just wet from being in the ocean – not because they hadn’t been changed in awhile. …not that they shouldn’t be changed, but it looks like they just came out of the water.

I saw the whole family in Brazil this year,I am also from Brazil but I live here in us and I was there with my family for vacation and they are a normal family,the kids had so much fun playing on the beach.Matthew and Camila had fun playing with the kids and her mom and his mom was there also and I guess some friends too.

Either those diapers are too big or they need to be changed. Judging from pictures on another website, I’d go for too big, as both children seem to be wearing the same size of diapers.

There were pics of them playing in the sea in the UK Daily mail. There was on adorable pick of Vida in Matt’s arms touching the water. They took a couple of the dogs too, to play in the sea. It seemed like Daddy was in charge for the afternoon!
I think its funny Matt’s took himself a jumper, but everyone else can just fend for themselves! LOL.
Think this is a pic of them on the way home. He dropped them off and then went out for a jog. Not that Im a stalker or anything =D.

maybe he hadn’t thought the kids would get all wet. maybe they were going to watch him surf and just play in the sand. maybe the bag of kids’ stuff was accidentally left by the door. maybe he thought they’d play naked but then saw paps and didn’t want their pics taken. anyway, they just played in the water in their diapers so the diapers were full of water and droopy. they were prob off to change them in this pic. what is the big deal??

Maybe they are walking back to change his darn diaper. I really don’t think these celebs are as forgetful, ridiculous parents as some of you posters make them seem when you make your silly complaints over the tiniest details.

Lighten up people – are your lives so empty, seriously, that you have nothing more important to dwell on than the underpants on a strangers kids? The second they were out of the water he should have thought to immediately change their drawers? Had he not had diapers on them at all you’d bitch about that too. I’m just surprised there aren’t a dozen posts about them not wearing hats and sunglasses, having bare feet, Levi’s hair being too long, you name it. I always love the stories on this family because they seem to focus on living a fun, normal life, rather than keeping their kids in an OCD bubble!

omg i am blind!..lol. I see it now. Id say its a child too or maybe just a short person. Who knows i like this family. However I was laughin last night while watching ET and they had this same pix and they kept showing Matthew holding Vida and caling her Levi…lol I was ilke I know Levi is little for his age but i think they should be able to tell the difference between them.

you saw one picture and you think Matthew doesnt take care of his children in proper way. Before you write comment why dont you see pictures of Matthew and his kids on the beach on the other sides? there is no nanny, the kids play in the sea and in the sand, wear tshirts and later not.

I saw this picture and thought WOW….BEAUTIFUL….. Then I see 28 comments and I think, Hmmm…..what are people going to be nit picking about….because there is always something! And sure enough, people are nit picking what is a beautiful picture. Of course my opinion of a beautiful picture.
If they have a nanny….who cares…..people that are not celebrities and have one child are celebrities. Second, at least he is spending time with his children and doing something fun. If the worst thing he did was have his kids in a diaper that is saggy, most likely from letting them swim in the water, than he is a great dad in my book!

Would you change your children in front of 10 strange men taking photos of them. I think not. He probably usually lets them swim naked but when the paps were there he just let them go in their diapers. A wet diaper for a short time is not going to hurt anyone.

Doesn’t anyone think that a dad taking his own children to the beach is great? This shows that he is in their life which we should applaud. Just because he isn’t smiling, that doesn’t mean he isn’t having a great time with them. This is only a few out of hundreds I’m sure that they chose to share. The diaper comments are also in left field. We don’t know how long they were there, if he changed them during the trip, or if he was taking them to change at the end. Wish we all could be “perfect” parents.

Crystal, not every day is swimming weather. sometimes kids just run along the shore and play. that’s what I was saying. I find these posts hilarious. I mean I know I’ve forgotten things while going out, so maybe he forgot the swim diapers! maybe they had them on earlier and pooped in them and he didn’t have back-ups. really, this is not a big deal.

Bancie1031- Actually, Miss Vida is 1 already. She was born January 3rd, 2010. I can’t believe she’s 1 either, though!
steph- I know just what you mean! I’ve also seen various media outlets referring to both Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt (in individual pictures of them, obviously!) as Shiloh, and Zuma Rossdale as Kingston. And in both of those cases the older sibling is a little over two years older than the younger one(s). There’s quite a big difference between a two-year-old toddler and a four-year-old child!
At least Vida and Levi are under two years apart, but still, they look very different from one another (as opposed to, say, Britney’s boys, who looked very much alike when they were younger. I could understand the media mixing them up back then!), so it’s easy to tell who’s who. The media needs to get a clue!
Anyway, as far as the diaper issue goes….When I saw there were over 40 comments, I thought people were getting up in arms at Levi still being in diapers at 2 1/2. I’m glad to see that isn’t the case! I agree with the majority of the posters here who have said that a wet, saggy diaper isn’t THAT huge of a deal, and that he was probably off to change them right then!

They live on beach front property so they were yards from their house. Its almost like swimming in your pool in a very large back yard.

First off they are gorgeous children. Re: Nappy, well call me stupid but the beach isn’t exactly the best place to change it, not only is it public with all an sundry watching but sand gets everywhere and is incredibly uncomfortable if trapped in the wrong place! Maybe he was rushing them home to shower them off properly before getting them into fresh clothes and nappies. Either way I’m sure they survived the droppy nappies without any ill effects. Btw the pics on the Daily Mail link are great, no pics of anyone accompanying him except for 2 dogs!

Not necessarily. Malibu Beach is quite large. It is over 20 miles long. So they could have been on the other end and quite far from their house.
