Tabitha Hodge Broderick points out something interesting to mom Sarah Jessica Parker while strolling on a chilly Tuesday in New York City.
“She’s crazy for bows,” the actress, 45, told ELLE recently. “She wants her head covered in them.”
In addition to their 19-month-old twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta, Parker and husband Matthew Broderick are also parents to son James Wilkie, 8.

I’m just gonna say it…I don’t think those babies are her biological kids. Not that it matters. She is still their mother…but, I don’t see her in them AT ALL!

Haha Sam, so did I! I loved my fur coat and “muff” and wore them everywhere for as long as I possibly could.

Not their biological kids?? Tabitha looks just like Matthew Broderick and a lot like James looked at that age. There’s many features of both girls that take after both parents and their big brother James.

@SarahK – I still have mine, deep in the cedar chest. My daughter wore it too, many years ago. I was so surprised to see these little babies wearing something similar!!

Ali- Just because they don’t look like her doesn’t mean that they aren’t her biological children. Out of the four children in my family I am the only one that bears even the slightest resemblance to my mother and none of us look like my dad. We are all however their biological children.
Tabitha is just too precious. Absolutely adorable.

I didn’t say the twins weren’t “THEIR” babies…I think that donor eggs were used with Matthew’s sperm. I don’t see SJP in either of the girls like you can see in James. James looks just like SJP and you could see that early on from infancy but the girls don’t look like her at all. She has very distinct features that I think would be showing through more if her eggs were used. I don’t care though. They are still her babies…I just don’t think they are her biological children.

SJP said it herself a while back while talking about the twins. She said one of the girls had Matthew’s translucent skin and the other had skin like hers, more olive. If you look at James over the years, he did not have SJP’s features as a baby. He looked mostly like Matthew. He has changed over the years and now resembles his mom more.

Ali- She pretty much confirmed recently that they ARE her biological children, by saying in an interview that she was shocked by how different they look from James Wilkie. Obviously if she had used donor eggs, she wouldn’t have been expecting them to look that much like James Wilkie since genetically they would have been his half-siblings rather than full siblings.
That said, does whether these girls are hers biologically or not have to be brought up on EVERY SINGLE post about these sweet girls?

I don’t understand why people have to come up with the “did they use her eggs or donor eggs” every single time there’s a picture of this family. Come on people, let it go. It doesn’t matter who’s eggs they used. Those girls are their adorable children, that’s it.

Just because the twins don’t look a lot like SJP means nothing. I look like my grandmother when she was younger & nothing like either of my parents. My son is 19 1/2 months old and looks just like my husband, not me. You would never even guess I’m his mother.

JAE- Right on! I look just like my dad, and my brother just like our mom. Whereas I hardly look like our mom at all, and vice-versa. Also, interestingly enough, while my mom looks a lot like her dad, it’s really hard to pick out either of my dad’s parents in him (my theory is that it’s because he is a perfect 50/50 mix of his parents! Techincally everyone is a 50/50 mix of their parents, but you know what I mean! When people have an equal number of traits from each parent, it tends to be difficult to pick out individual features from each parent.).
And one other thing….People can resemble one parent at one stage in life but look nothing like them in another. My mother, for example, looks nothing like her mother now. However, in pictures of her from when she was about 5 or so, she looks almost identical to what her mother looks like in pictures of her from when she was the same age(they even had the same hairstyle!)!
Genetics can be a very tricky thing!
