Rachel Zoe Is Having a Boy!

John Shearer/Getty

Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe has revealed the gender of her forthcoming child — apparently accidentally — using the pronoun “his” to describe the baby’s impending arrival in a new interview with Women’s Wear Daily.

Realizing her slip-up, Zoe’s husband, Rodger Berman, then lets the cat fully out of the bag, kissing his wife’s stomach and acknowledging, “It’s a little boy.”

Zoe, 39, star of The Rachel Zoe Project, is seven months along, yet still going 100 miles an hour.

“I’ve been asked to slow down,” she says. “But to be totally honest, it’s kind of next to impossible when you’re planning your show and launching your collection, and in the middle of award season.”

Good thing she’s busy, though — she doesn’t have too much time to be tempted by baby clothes, which she wants to avoid anyway until the baby is here.

“I’m a little superstitious,” she says. “I’ve been sent a lot of gifts and things, and my team just hides them.”

Mazel Tov!!!!! I had a feeling she would have a boy!!! So exciting, and of course SO MAJORRRRR!!!!!

- Shoshana on

Here’s hoping she fully embraces more than just fashion and perhaps accepts a little more weight on her! I mean that in positive way, she is a great stylist but i do want to see her focus on more than the fashion.

I am so happy for Rodger…..he seems like he will be the greatest father ever. Rachel – we’ll see.

- Brooke on

She seems a bit self-absorbed to me and definitely not mom material. I hope Rodger is ready to be totally hands on because even after baby comes she won’t slow down to enjoy.

- Melisa on

Her husband seems 100% gay to me, not that there’s a problem with that.

- Mira on

I didn’t want to like her but I started watching the show and was hooked. It’s just good fun. I am so happy for them. Just wish we would see more shots of her and tiny belly on here! :)

In other words…
‘I’ve been asked to slow down, But to be totally honest, it’s kind of next to impossible when you care more about work than your son.’

- Lisa on

LOL lisa, totally agree.

So glad to hear she is having a boy! They seem like wonderful people but I can’t help but think due to her body image issues she would not be such a good role model for a daughter.

Melisa and Lisa: Don’t hate — celebrate!! :) Rachel has been wanting a baby for a really long time, and this is WONDERFUL news!! If you guys haven’t noticed, she works in one of the most time-consuming and competitive industries out there, and just because she’s an independent, career-oriented, and strong woman, doesn’t mean she won’t have any time for her growing family. If anyone can do it all, it’s Rachel Zoe! :)

So happy for Rachel and and her husband. I think she’ll be a good mom, it’s not right to judge someone before they even had a child and experienced it. Some women have definitely surprised me for the better when it comes to motherhood: perfect example of that are Nicole Richie and Kourtney Kardashian in my opinion.I do believe once someone has a child it can teach them to be less selfish and set their priorities straight, so I think they’ll do just fine. I’m also excited to see how she dresses the little guy, I’m sure he will be stylish.

- Nella on

Thanks goodness it’s a boy. Hopefully she’ll be less likely to pass on her weight issues.

- Shannon on

Nella- Exactly! Maybe motherhood will change Rachel!

- CelebBabyLover on

Shannon – that’s what I was thinking too.

- Tess on

Shoshana- “Don’t hate — celebrate!!” I love it! I think that should be the motto for the comments section here! :)

Shannon and Lucy- Boys can have weight issues too, you know.
