A weak signal has never felt so good for Jennifer Connelly.

The actress, pregnant with her third child, admits her first trimester was filled with bouts of touch-and-go nausea.

“The first three months were no fun. It was sketchy, like cell phone service sketchy,” Connelly, 40, joked on a Wednesday appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, shortly before heading to Chicago for The Dilemma premiere.

“I have to stand in one spot in my apartment to make a phone call. It was like that with the nausea.”

And what was Connelly’s sweet spot?

“I had to stand in one spot, which happened to be in front of my refrigerator, which was open, with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth,” she laughs. “If I did that, I was good.”

Aww, so lovely!! I actually really like the dress! It looks elegant AND comfortable, which seems like a rare find in Hollywood. In any case, I can’t wait to hear more baby updates about her!

She is very beautiful. The pregnancy seems to agree with her she is glowing. As for the dress not my favorite but not the worse I have seen either. I wish her and Paul a healthy happy baby, and a quick and easy delivery to her, I am sure that Kai and Stellan can not wait to meet their new brother or sister

Obviously I hope first and foremost that the baby is healthy….but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious as to what a little girl of theirs would look like! πŸ™‚

Also, according to old wives’ tales, lots of morning sickness means a girl. πŸ˜‰

Just to clarify, I fully realize that morning sickness is definitely NOT always an indicator of gender. I was just throwing it out there in the way a lot of people go, “She’s carrying low, so it must be a boy!”. πŸ™‚

Love her! She’s so cute.

Also, don’t believe old wives tales. I had morning sickness until my 20th week and I had a boy.

She looks very pretty. I wish them a healthy baby!

I have never to found wive tales to be even close to accurate.
