30 Rock-a-bye baby!

Practically a year to the day after she announced her engagement to British-born clothing designer Robert Godley, 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski was photographed on a beach in the Caribbean on Thursday, showing off what appears to be a budding baby bump – because she is expecting.

“Jane and Robert are indeed expecting a baby,” the actress’s rep confirms. “Both soon-to-be first-time parents could not be happier!”

The images of the actress, 42, show her in a black, one-piece bathing suit and sunglasses, smiling and frolicking in the surf without any apparent effort to hide her belly.

“We’re very much enjoying being engaged,” Krakowski, a Broadway Tony Award-winner, said last July.

“I see that people got married in the Caribbean and people got married in Italy, and I’m like, ‘Well, those all sound good. Maybe we should do that!’”

She has always been a small actress, so this much weight gain in one spot leads me to think that, yes, shes pregnant. If not, oops, but She does look really happy, and thats really all that counts.

I love coming here to read about celebs and their children, but I am amazed at many people here and how nasty they are to one another. Obviously, some people read this news prior to the rep confirming the pregnancy and others read the news after and were confused by some people’s comments questioning People publishing unconfirmed pregnancy news.

Congrats to Jane and her fiance! I remember Jane from way back when she was on Search For Tomorrow!

IMO (jill??): I don’t think she was insulting people’s ability to read, but rather assuming people just commented without actually reading the article. To be honest, the only reason I even knew the article was updated was from Michelle’s comment — I, too, had read it much earlier and hadn’t realized the news was changed/confirmed.

IMO- Michelle was confused and commenting on what she read in front of her (after People had confirmed the story). I was confused by the beginning comments, as well. Your comment, on the other hand, comes off as highly unintelligent, “hope they right this in theshow.” It’s a sad day when supposed adults cannot spell “write.”

Shoshana- I’m with you! The post had already been updated by the time I saw it, but I HAVE found myself in Michelle’s situation in the past. For example, I’ll read people speculating on a birth announcement post about what a celeb has named their baby, even though the baby’s name is mentioned in the post, and I think, “Uh, they’ve told us the baby’s name already!”

Then, when I post my confusion, another commentor politely (thankfully it’s always been politely thus far!) informs me that when the post was first put up, the name had not been released yet. So I understand where Michelle is coming from!

Goodness gracious…..I feel like every post has everyone telling everyone telling someone what to do. This one has Michelle telling people can’t you guys read? People do know how to read……. What happened was….. CBB originally had this listed as a speculation. They then changed this to a she is pregnant. The comment really was not neccessary as do you really think this many people had not read the post? C’mon.

Just one last thing…..i didn’t post any rude comments and I’d appreciate the same done to me. If my opinion upset people, I am sorry for that. I was overtired, medicated and had surgery when I typed my comment yesterday. And making sure spell check was right on was the farthest from my mind. CelebBabyLover: Totally agreed! I think this may have been the first time I posted a comment on an article that had changed/updated within just a few hours! So, like I said, if it hadn’t been for another poster’s comment, I would’ve just been confused if all of a sudden people were saying “Yay! She’s pregnant!” as opposed to “Yay, I HOPE she’s pregnant!” Haha, from now on, I will have to re-read the articles if I decide to visit them again.

Lauren – Apparently several commentors HADN’T read the earlier post, myself included. I was thus confused by the comments asking why it was being re-confirmed. While I wasn’t offended by Michelle’s comment, I do think she could have phrased it a bit differently.

While this site is based in America, people can comment from any country. Meaning not everyone’s first language will be English. Also, many have mentioned before that ipads, phones and other such devices sometimes automatically put in what word they think your trying to spell. Whether they’re the right words or not! Or sometimes people accidentally hit (or don’t hit) a button they mean to and forget to do spell check, I know I do periodically. So if I can’t get through a comment due to too many grammatical and spelling errors, I try to simply skip over that particular comment. Not really a huge deal in the long run.

Back to what the post is actually about, I’m very happy for Jane and her fiancee. I like her as an actress and wish her the best of luck!

And as other posters have said, PEOPLE probably knew she was pregnant when they first posted it, or at the very least they probably were pretty darn sure she was. Who knows? Maybe they knew her rep was about to confirm?

But what if she wasn’t done with her first trimester and then miscarried….. Hmmm…. What about giving the mother privacy and letting them be the one to tell the news? Hmmm… I have seen in real life someone who I was pretty darn sure was pregnant…and she wasn’t. Or so she says. Maybe she lost the baby or maybe she wasn’t.
