Rachel Dratch ‘Taking a Pass’ This Holiday Season

Moises De Pena/Retna

Actress Rachel Dratch will be spending her first holiday season with son Eli Benjamin a little differently than most. In fact, the new mom joked that may not be celebrating at all!

“He’s not conscious of the holiday yet so I’m taking a pass. I don’t have to go all out yet,” Dratch, 44, told PEOPLE at the LAByrinth Theater Company’s 8th Annual Gala Benefit.

“I should have lit some Hanukkah candles but I haven’t even done that. I don’t know what Christmas is going to bring, probably the same thing. [My son's] dad is not Jewish. We haven’t even discussed any of this.”

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell Talk Twins

Although nearly every twin is able to identify themselves as either older or younger than their former womb-mate, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell‘s daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, 2 this month, can’t — and they have their famous parents to thank.

“They’re exactly the same age,” O’Connell notes in the December/January issue of Scholastic Parent & Child. “My wife and I had met some twins before ours were born and one would always say, ‘I’m the older one.’ And that twin would have a kind of seniority over the other.”

The couple “didn’t like that,” says the Defenders star, 36, and because Dolly and Charlie were delivered via c-section, O’Connell and Romijn, 38, took matters into their own hands.

“We asked the doctor, ‘Can we say they were born at the same time?’” O’Connell recalls. “And he said, ‘Well, they were.’”

Lisa Ling Shares Miscarriage Experience

Mike Coppola/FilmMagic

In an episode of The View set to air Friday, former co-host Lisa Ling reveals that she had a miscarriage six months ago, and says the experience left her feeling like “a complete failure.”

“I felt more like a failure than I’d felt in a very long time,” Ling, 37, says in the interview.

Already seven weeks pregnant, Ling, who is married to oncologist Paul Song, was told by doctors that her baby had no heartbeat.

Ling says that before the miscarriage she was “sort of cavalier” about the pregnancy.

“We actually [hadn't] been trying that long,” she says. “I don’t know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast. But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart.”
