Monte Design: Modern, Eco-friendly Nursery Furniture

Ever wonder where the stars turn when it comes time to decorate their baby’s nursery? Look no further than Monte Design Group, a Canadian-based design company that counts celebs including Halle Berry, Amy Poehler, Christina Applegate and Kourtney Kardashian as their biggest fans.
The collection includes everything from high chairs to bassinets, but the gliders are by far the biggest standouts. Each style is a beautiful and can last beyond the late-night rocking and feeding stage, which is nice considering it’s a big investment. Our fave? The Luca glider ($995, above), which like the rest of the line is available in two nursery-friendly fabrics (micro suede and bonded leather) in a wide range of color combinations.
We also love the Ninna-Nanna bassinet ($395). It features a removable (and portable) bassinet that rests atop a gorgeous dark wood rocker base. With the same clean lines as the rest of Monte’s furniture, this bassinet would look perfect in any stylish décor.
And just so that bigger kids aren’t left out, there are even little Cubino chairs and loveseats ($109 to $139) that are just their size.
Even better? All the furniture is handmade in Canada and crafted from superior, eco-friendly materials including seed-based foam, water-based and biodegradable adhesives, Oeko-Tex certified fabrics and FSC-certified wood.
