This picture is adorable…Ben is one of those guys who I think gets better with age–he’s only getting more and more gorgeous…lol And I love Violet’s expression, almost like she’s deep in thought and having a conversation with dad…

Funny how people are quick to critcize Jennifer when she carries Violet….but when Ben does the same, no one bats an eye.

Awe this is a sweet picture …. I love seeing pictures of daddy’s with their children especially with their daughters! Then add the fact that the Afflecks are one of my favorite celebrity couples :D

Cute! It’s nice to see Ben smiling.

Is it just me or does Violet have really long legs? I think she may have inherited her dad’s height – Lucky girl!

- Catca on

I think she is going to be a tall girl. Both are her parents are taller than average height.

This pic could work as an AD! such a lovely duo!!

Awww, a picture with Ben for a change! I never found him attractive but this pic he looks adorable in. He does seem to look better with age.

She’s 5 years old she can still be carried, it just seems she is older cause she is taller then an average 5 year old. I don’t think people should criticize that, they can be carried till like 8 if they wanted to..

- erilynne on

8?!?!??!!? what country are you from???!?! hahaahaha!

- Lauren on

He’s carrying a little mini Jennifer Garner there! So cute to see Ben with his (not so little anymore!) baby girl!

- KylieMarie on

Seeing as how they are walking the middle of the street, it might make sense for Violet to be carried. Especially with all the paps around.

CelebBabyLover – From what I’ve noticed, it doesn’t seems to be a Jen vs. Ben, thing. I think it’s a men vs. women thing. I’ve rarely seen comments with photos of fathers carrying their children, but there are usually several with mothers carrying their children. Perhaps it has something to do with men just being physically bigger, thereby making the children seem smaller in their arms. Whereas women are generally smaller physically than men are, so the children look bigger when they are being carried by them. (Not that I’m trying to justify the double standard, just trying to think of why it’s there.)

That being said, I do think that Violet does seem to be quite tall for her age! She is very pretty!!

- Sarah M. on

The double standard is there because women like to rag on each other while celebrating men for any time spent with their children.

Erilynne, why 8 and not longer……… Hmmm……

- IMO on

If a parent wants to carry their child until they are 35 why should you care? It’s not you so don’t judge.

- Fed up on

erilynne- I agree! Kids are only little once, so enjoy that period of time while you can! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Erilynne, AGREE!!!!!!!!

Lauren……….HUH????????

- Jill on

He looks exactly like one of my good guy friend’s in this picture!! I never thought about that before. They have similar face shape, and build.

- Angela Lake on

I adopted my son at 11 years old and he has almost as tall as me, I am just over five feet. I wish he was mine when he was little cause nothing would make me happier then to have him sleeping in on my chest with with my arms wrapped around him.

Ladies carry your kids, hug them, let me sleep on you for as long as you can. They are only babies once, and when they grow up, that’s it, no going back. So I say enjoy it while you can and for as long as you can. There is no rule or shame in loving your children and wanting to hold them close, and keep them safe.

I love the picture of Ben and Violet they look happy together. Also I am really glad he is carrying her, they are in the middle of the street and you just can’t be trusting of others when there are people with cameras chasing you town the road. Everyone reacts differently to that. She is safer in his arms.
