Spotted: Gwen Stefani and Sons Get It to Go

To go please!

After a family lunch at Kiwami, Gwen Stefani escorts 4½-year-old son Kingston and their boxes of leftovers out to the car, while the nanny and a snoozing Zuma, 2, bring up the rear.

Taking a cue from dad Gavin Rossdale (not pictured), Kingston strolled out with a toothpick in his mouth!

I wonder if they feed the nanny, or if she just has to sit there while they eat and watch the children.

Lis on

LOL, Amy…I’m sure they feed her! I’m sure being a nanny to a celeb has more than it’s fair share of perks ;)

Meesh on

I HATE that they dye their little boy’s hair! Anyone else??

Bonnie on

I wondered the same thing when I saw the picture!

samantha on

Amy, you are too funny!! I’m sure they feed her a scrap or two, but she’s probably encouraged to stay in the background when the cameras are around.

Lola on

Cute kids – Gwen has the fiercest style around!

Lisa on

Wow, considering that Gwen is usually referred to as a fashion icon…

Olivia on

Omg! Kingston could choke on that toothpick.

TC on

As a nanny I would assume she eats with them, just like any other nanny I know and know of. I’ve gone out to lunch with my boss on several occasions and she pays, when she doesn’t go to lunch with us she gives us a credit card to use.

i heard a dj rumor she was trying to have another baby or is pregnant. anyone here that too?

Sadie on

I’m sure that’s the case, Samantha even though she’s clearly holding a sleeping Zuma two steps behind Gwen. You are too much!

Colleen on

Being a nanny to a celebrity does have its perks, but it also has many downfalls and is not as glamorous as it may seen. Also, she is not just “the nanny”, she is “their nanny”. A nanny is not an object and I think, in this case, language does really say something about the negative images projected onto nannies everywhere.

CelebBabyLover on

sky- What do you mean by dj? Anyway, if she is pregnant, she is very newly pregnant, as she clearly has a flat stomach. :)

Sadie- Samantha was clearly being sarcastic!

Amy on

Yes, I was being scarcastic too, just to clarify. Although I’m from the country and there are no such things as nannys around here, so I honestly have no idea how those arrangements work.

am I the only one who thinks it’s a little unsafe for a 4 year old to be walking around with a toothpick in his mouth???

Lola on

Missy: There are definitely worse things a 4 year old can put into his/her mouth. And, actually, when you think about it, he’s being a lot more hygienic than most 4 year olds. Little Kingston won’t have nearly as much plaque or food between his teeth as the next kid walking out of there. Plus, there’s plenty of supervision. If he were a rowdy kid, or by himself, then maybe it would be unsafe.

Tess on

Missy – no, you’re not the only one who thinks it’s unsafe.

Rachel on

I don’t think she dyes their hair. They are just “tow-heads”. I wish I had a nanny to help me on a little outing with my two kids. Must be nice.

Nanny_Emma on

Haha I have seen videos with Gwen chatting and laughing with her nannies, I’m sure she’d be invited to eat with them lol.

I was helping at my employers party tonight with the kids and I ate with the adults! lol I actually wouldn’t mind not but they bought mine. Sure Gwen’s no different!

CelebBabyLover on

Lola- I agree! I’m sure Gwen wouldn’t let Kingston do anything that could hurt him!

Nanny_Emma – I’ve been the same way with the families I’ve worked with. (I’m a nanny, also.) I was invited to the little girl’s birthday parties, as a guest and not to work. While I did wind up holding her and taking care of her for parts of it, that was because both mom and dads families lived out of state. Making the 3 people at the party she was closest with mom, dad and myself. I offered to take her so that mom and dad could chat with other guests, they’d ask me to take her for a minute if they had something they had to take care of (much like they would a member of their family), etc. They live out of state now, but I’ve gone to visit them where they live now and stayed at their house the whole time. They take me places while there and what not, also. In my opinion, that’s the way it should be. All the families I’ve interviewed with when searching for a new family have all wanted that same kind of relationship, too.

These are 2 cute boys and I love that we see them out with mom and dad so much!
