As if their star-studded (Jennifer Lopez, Julie Bowen, Leah Remini, Jennifer Meyer Maguire, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon) celebration for their new children’s collection in Los Angeles wasn’t enough, Gucci brought the fun to the East Coast for another mini fashion extravaganza.
Held at the company’s flagship 5th Avenue store, the event was hosted by race car driver Jeff Gordon — who brought along wife Ingrid Vandebosch and kids Ella Sofia, 3, and Leo Benjamin, 4 months — and actress (and mom-of-two!) Emily Mortimer.

Guests including celebrity fashion stylist June Ambrose and rapper Fabolous, as well as their tots, enjoyed face-painting, a life-size candy bar, having their portraits taken and playing with Gucci-branded paper dolls.
They also got to check out the design house’s new iPad app which features a new interactive game for kids called “Playground” that allows users to dress up dolls in Gucci children’s clothing, as well as, draw and color with a variety of Gucci-themed templates including the Gucci by Riva boat and Gucci bicycle.

Conceived by creative director Frida Giannini, the chic mini collection includes everything from rompers and bibs to leather biker jackets and rainboots for children ages 0 – 8. And the current faces are Jennifer Lopez and her twins — Max and Emme.
The line is currently available in select Gucci boutiques, department and specialty stores.
Even better: Gucci has pledged $1 million to UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” program in honor of the collection.
