Nina Garcia Welcomes Son Alexander David

Alexander, you are out!

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia‘s second son made his debut in New York City this weekend.

“Delighted to announce that over the [weekend] we welcomed 8 lb., 13 oz Alexander David Conrod into our home!” Garcia, 45, announced via Twitter.

“Baby is doing great & Lucas is thrilled!” she added, referring to her 3½-year-old son with husband David Conrod.

And Lucas had been excited about the impending arrival for some time.

“He’s excited and he gets it,” Garcia told PEOPLE this summer. “We told him, and he’s very happy to be a big brother. He’s waiting for the baby to come more than we are.”

Drummer to Designer: Bon Jovi’s Tico Torres Dishes on His Kids Collection

For the children of rock stars, pink and blue just doesn’t cut it.

So when Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres and his pals started having babies a few years back, he decided to make a line of gear just for them, aptly called rockstarbaby.

“It was all just pink and blue, and I thought, ‘I can’t relate to this!’ ” Torres recalls.

“So I decided to do something with clean white and black — it’s sharper, with more of a hip attitude. I figure parents dress themselves up, so why not have children look that way as well?”

With the holiday season fast approaching, Jay DeMarcus — whose wife Allison is due with daughter Madeline Leigh on Jan. 8 — isn’t afraid to put in an early request!

“[For Christmas I want] a happy, healthy baby,” the Rascal Flatts bassist told PEOPLE Wednesday at an N.Y.C. event announcing their partnership with JCPenney’s Angel Giving Tree program.

“And if it’s not too much to ask for Santa, preferably a baby without colic.”

Noting that his wife is “very pregnant right now,” the couple plan to spend their time “hanging around the house, maybe light a fire, stay in” — and signing up for a birthing class!

An expectant Mariah Carey tapes her appearance at the Rockefeller Center’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last week in New York City.

The singer, 41, performed tunes from her new holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, for the special airing Nov. 30.

After “a long journey,” Carey and husband Nick Cannon expect their first child next spring.
