Bethenny Frankel: My Baby Doesn’t Have to Be a Genius

Bethenny Frankel isn’t putting any pressure on her 6-month-old daughter, Bryn Casey, to be the smartest baby out there.

“She just needs to be happy, she doesn’t need to be a genius or anything,” Frankel told PEOPLE at the 24th Annual Emery Awards in New York on Tuesday. “It’s not like I’m sitting there playing Beethoven and doing Baby Einstein.”

The Bethenny Getting Married star says Bryn “loves” when she reads to her, no matter what the topic.

“I’ll read anything to her. I’ll pick up the newspaper, a Crate and Barrel catalog. I’ll be like, ‘A lovely set of organza pillows!’” Frankel says. “She doesn’t know what going on.”

Jeffrey Tambor: Parenthood ‘Not for the Selfish’

Those who would judge late-in-life dad Jeffrey Tambor, rest assured — the Arrested Development star, 66, is unfazed by the criticism.

“First of all, the people who write those things on the Internet are not rocket scientists for the most part. They’re writing it at 3 in the morning with little if anything else to do,” the dad-of-five tells Babble.

“If I counted on the sensitivity of the Internet public, I would be in trouble. Otherwise, you just go on. I don’t know what else to do.”

Still, Tambor says even he has a tipping point when it comes to the dubious reactions of strangers upon learning that twins Hugo Bernard and Eli Nicholas, 13 months, are his children — and not his grandchildren.

When budding singer/actress Willow Smith isn’t busy whipping her hair, the fearless fashionista loves to flaunt her edgy personal style.

While heading to Los Angeles International Airport on Nov. 7, the 10-year-old went toe-to-toe — literally — with mom Jada Pinkett-Smith in a red pair of Steve Madden‘s Kallee boots ($79).

Ne-Yo Welcomes Daughter Madilyn Grace

R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo is a father — a bit early! — as girlfriend Monyetta Shaw went into premature labor and delivered daughter Madilyn Grace Smith on Friday evening, Nov. 12, a rep for the singer confirms to PEOPLE.

“I’ve been in love before but this feels like nothing I’ve ever felt,” said Ne-Yo, 28, born Shaffer Chimere Smith. “Like I’m in love for the first time.”

The birth took place in an Atlanta hospital. Madilyn hadn’t been due until January.

Ne-Yo was at a charity event for his foundation when word reached him that Shaw had gone into an early labor. Even so, the new dad made it to the hospital to witness the birth.

Also due this month: Ne-Yo’s brand new album, Libra Scale, which hits stores Nov. 22.

Brandy Is Ready for Mr. Right – and Baby Boys!

When she’s not jiving her way to the mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars, Brandy Norwood is busy on the hunt: for a man!

“I’m looking for someone with the same values that I have,” the singer tells E! “I’m looking for someone that has a pure heart … someone that loves children, easy on the eyes, and has a drive to be something very powerful in their experience.”

Fans will be able to follow the 31-year-old’s plight on her reality show Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business, but Norwood admits her clock is running out — and so are her patience!

“I’m like, ‘Dude, hurry up before I end up not being able to have no more kids!’” she laughs. “[You're] taking too long!”
