Meet Fiona!

Diego Luna gives his 4-month-old daughter a lift at a party for the debut of Gucci’s new children’s collection on Saturday in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The pretty-in-pink baby girl accompanied her actor dad, 30, as well as mom Camila Sodi to the event, but big brother Jerónimo, 2, stayed home.

Aw, Fiona is such a cutie!

Meghan on

Aww! My heart is melting!

Sarah S. on

Oh, how precious!! She’s a cutie and takes after her parents good looks. I recall reading somewhere that Fiona is also the name of Diego’s late mother. True?

Kaitlin on

He’s always been a good looking guy, but seeing him act so natural and obviously happy with his child? I’m swooning.

Sarah M. on

Sarah S. – I think they said in her birth announcement that they named her after Diego’s late mother, Fiona. I’ve posted the link below, if you’re interested. :)

Fiona is an absolute doll!

Bree on

What a doll!!

Sarah S, it said in the article announcing her birth that she was named after him mom who was killed in a car crash when he was 3, can’t imagine how hard it must have been for him!!

Fiona is adorable and he is gorgeous, but then I find men always look better when they are cuddling their babies!!

Hi Sarah S, you are right. He lost his mum when he was about 2 years old and her name was Fiona. I always loved the name and it is a beautiful tribute to his late mum.

Sarah S. on

That is a lovely way to remember his Mum; and thanks to all who answered my question!

How do you pronounce his son’s name? I ask because when I read it all I can think of is yelling that out when you’re about to do a bomb into the pool! I see the accent there but not sure of how to say it :)

Kaisa on

Steph – it is pronounced “hare-ROH-nee-moh” in Spanish rather than the English “jer-RAH-nah-moh”.

What a cutie! I hope Jeronimo stayed home because he wanted to, and not because he’s sick or something (colds are going around right now. :().

Jennifer Redgrave on

She is a cute! I’d like to know if she is Fiona Luna or Fiona Alexander ?! Or maybe Fiona Sodi Luna or Fiona Sodi Alexander ?! Someone know ? Thanks –

Jessie on

steph on

Thanks Kaisa!!

Everything about that man is HOT! His hair, his style, daddyhood. :)

CelebBabyLover on

Jennifer- Why would she be Fiona Alexander? Neither of her parents’ has the last name Alexander. Not bashing you, just curious.

Jennifer Redgrave on

@CelebBabyLover
I saw on Wipedia that Diego’s last name is Alexander. And Diego mom’s name’s Fiona Alexander (:

MiB on

@Jennifer Redgrave – hmm, but Luna would still be his fathers name, which is the name he will pass on to his children, their mother will pass on her fathers name, so Fionas name would probably be Fiona Luna Sodi (provided Sodi is her maternal grandfathers name). Hope that helps :-)

Anonimous on

@Jennifer Redgrave: I agree with MiB, her name probably is Fiona Luna Sodi. Quick explanation about how naming works in most Spanish-speaking countries:

Women do not change their last name when they get married, so when a baby is born, the baby is given two last names: the father’s and the mother’s. That’s why Diego Luna is listed as Diego Luna Alexander (his name, his dad’s last name, and his mom’s last name). However, the last name that counts is the one passed on by the father. The last name passed on by the mother works in a similar way the middle names work in English-speaking countries: to differentiate from other people who may have same given and last name.

So although the baby is probably named Fiona Luna Sodi, she’ll go by Fiona Luna. Hope this helps!

Jennifer Redgrave on

@MiB: Alright guys !
Thanks (:
