Songstress Charlotte Church says her patience with tabloids has begun to wane now that daughter Ruby Megan, 3, and son Dexter Lloyd, 21 months, are part of the story.

“It’s really tough and … it’s never bothered me so much in the past,” she told BBC Radio’s Jamie and Louise show.

“It’s because the children are involved, it’s because they’re getting worse and worse — there’s less and less truth in it they can pretty much say whatever they want.”

“My husband has a theory that celebrity gossip feels so seedy, but if you can put a positive spin on it, like touting a new baby, then people somehow feel it’s okay. I joke to my agent that having a baby made my career.”

Julianne Moore’s Parenting Tip: Teach By Example

Gregorio T. Binuya/Everett

Breaking down stereotypes is familiar territory for actress and author Julianne Moore.

In this summer’s hit The Kids Are Alright she portrayed a lesbian mom, but Moore says tolerance isn’t something her real life children Caleb, 12, and Liv Helen, 8½, need any instruction on.

“I think really, what you need to do, is live your life with that kind of reality,” she explains to CNN. “I think what everybody always says about raising children is you have to teach by example.”

To that end, Moore says she allows Caleb and Liv a realistic glimpse at “what’s going on in the world” while keeping in mind that “you have to work really hard to give a child a prejudice.”

Milla Jovovich Not Slowed By Motherhood

GSI Media

For Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich, a leisurely maternity leave was only briefly an option after the birth of daughter Ever Gabo, 2½.

“I definitely imagined I’d slow down once I had the baby but then everything just kind of sped up,” she confesses to the Sydney Morning Herald.

“My husband [Paul W.S. Anderson] and I just had our anniversary and I wrote him this long letter. I told him it’s crazy how it feels like life is so rushed and so hurried.”

“Everything is ‘Gotta do it, gotta do it’ and our beautiful baby is growing so fast,” Jovovich — who will appear in eight films over the next two years — continues. “It’s three years later. What happened? Where did our lives go?”
