After splitting from wife Naama Nativ earlier this year, Matthew Settle says the two continue to focus on raising their daughter Aven Angelica, 19 months.
“She’s a wonderful kid and super smart. She’s learning two languages now!” the Gossip Girl star told PEOPLE Monday night at the Elton John AIDS Foundation‘s ninth annual benefit “An Enduring Vision.”
“She’s learning English and Hebrew and we play a little Italian and French for her,” Settle, 41, said.

Christy Turlington Burns knows a thing or two about model behavior. The fashion icon turned activist received a United Nations award, for her humanitarian work in women’s health, Oct. 7 in New York City.
“I’m beyond humbled,” Turlington tells PEOPLE of her first honor from the Americans for UNFPA.
The supermodel, who has two kids with her husband, actor Ed Burns, says working for such causes is “by far” more preferable than strutting down the catwalk: “Gosh, I hated walking down a runway in heels.”

Everything is coming up roses for former Bachelor Andrew Firestone and his wife, Ivana Bozilovic — the two are expecting their second child in April, a rep for the couple confirms to PEOPLE.
As with son Adam Brooks, 19 months, the pair plan to wait until the delivery to find out the sex of their baby.
“Ivana, Brooks, and I are thrilled to be adding another little Firestone to our family,” the proud papa tells PEOPLE.
Firestone currently co-owns Confidential, a San Diego eatery and nightclub, and runs the Curtis Winery in Los Olivos, Calif.
