A pregnant Christina Applegate shows her stripes — and growing baby bump — as she runs errands in Los Angeles on Monday.

“I’ll probably be a little bit hippie and a little bit Type A,” the actress, 38, tells PEOPLE about her parenting style.

She expects her first child with fiancé Martyn Lenoble this winter.

You may recognize his voice and presence on your TV screen, but our celebrity blogger Mark McGrath has a new role — dad.

The Sugar Ray frontman is proud papa to 5-month-old twins Lydon Edward and Hartley Grace, his children with fiancée Carin Kingsland, as well as the new host of Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, airing weekdays on VH1 and in syndication.

In his latest blog, McGrath, 42, recalls ‘taking the lampshade off his head’ to figure out how he’d handle the cost of twins.

Lily Allen Confirms: I’m Having a Boy!

Impending motherhood “became a lot more real” for Lily Allen when she learned the sex of her baby-on-the-way — a boy!

“You start to think of names, and then you can go shopping, and it all feels like it’s happening,” she confesses in the October issue of Stylist.

As for just what Allen, 25, and her construction worker boyfriend Sam Cooper will call their firstborn, due in January, mums the word. “I’ve got a really stupid list of names, but I won’t show you,” she teases, before promising that their choice won’t make headlines.

“Sam is way too straight and traditional for that sort of thing,” she says of unusual baby names. “He’d get the piss taken out of him on the building site.”

OneRepublic Rockers: We Love Being Dads

The toughest thing about being a rock star? Being away from their newborn sons, say OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and guitarist Zach Filkins.

“It’s hard,” says Filkins, who welcomed his first child, son Leighton, with wife Lindsay in June. “You reach a point where the more you see them [in online video chats], the more you want to go home.”

Adds frontman Tedder, who welcomed son Copeland Cruz with wife Genevieve 11 weeks ago: “We try to cap our time away at three weeks, whereas in the past we’d do six weeks. You don’t understand until you have a family — you can’t physically do that anymore or it tears the whole fabric apart.”
