Jessica Capshaw Welcomes Daughter Eve Augusta

It’s a girl for Jessica Capshaw and husband Christopher Gavigan!

The couple are now the proud parents of daughter Eve Augusta, born Wednesday, Oct. 20.

“The family is thrilled to welcome their newest addition,” her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The Grey’s Anatomy star, 33 — the daughter of actress Kate Capshaw and stepdaughter of Steven Spielberg — already has a son, 3-year-old Luke, with her husband Gavigan, the CEO of non-profit Healthy Child, Healthy World.

Congrats Jessica! There is something to be said about the Grey’s Anatomy cast having little girls with the past year or so: Ellen had Stella,Chyler had Aniston,Katherine has Naleigh,Eric has Billie, and now Jessica has Eve.Yay for girl power!

kind of a mouthful when the whole name is said together, but it doesn’t really matter. I like that Luke and Eve are nice and ‘normal’ names that everyone can recognize and pronounce.

Anybody else feel like the name should be EVA Augusta? Eve Augusta doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as well. Anyway I assume Augusta is a middle name in which case she’ll only ever be Eve Gavigan or Eve Augusta Gavigan.

Harper – Eva Augusta is the more awkward-sounding one. The As run together. Don’t know why more parents don’t think of this when I see a name like “Kara Elizabeth” for example. Take vowels into account!
