Spotted: Marcia Cross’s Happy Handful

Flynet

Hello there!

Eden Mahoney waves to photographers, while sister Savannah holds tight to mom Marcia Cross while out and about Monday in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 3½-year-old twins are the only children for Desperate Housewives star Cross, 48, and husband Tom Mahoney.

oh my eden hair is so funny!! cute girls, but they look nothing alike. i never realized it until i saw this picture!!

Very cute picture, though I almost wonder if Marcia’s haircolour is natural since the girls don’t have even a glimps of it! Offcourse, this actually doesn’t matter at all, since they’re very cute together.

I DO think the line ‘…are the only children for Marcia and Tom’ is a little strange. It’s two children, what’s so lonely about that? People already seem to forget that twins still are two different persons, just happen to be born on the same day.

she always looks so happy to be a mom!

In response to M, no one actually knows if Marcia used her own eggs to conceive the twins. There are a lot of reports that state she did, but some say she didn’t. She made a comment about it once, and I guess people assumed from there that she did. I personally see a lot of Marcia in the twins but others say it’s clear they’re not her biological children. Either way, they’re adorable!

Also, she’s a natural red-head, but not nearly as red as she is these days. She keeps up this color, but she’s closer to an auburn, naturally.

And I’m done Marcia obsessing. :)

Geez M, whats the big deal about “the only children for Marcia and Tom.” It doesn’t say or even imply they are lonely! Just means they have no other children besides these two..whats so strange about that?

I love, love, love seeing pictures of this family! Marcia’s little girls are so beautiful and always looks like she is beyond enjoying motherhood!

@Dani: haha, I didn’t even know about that rumour. I do like her haircolour though, it suits her. But indeed, it makes her look less like her children. On first site, that is.

@Tiffany: no need to be so irritated. I made te remark because I had en very strong bond with a twinmum. I know that sentence would’ve irritated her to bits. CBB usually only uses it when a couple has 1 kid. That’s all.

Always great to see pictures of this family. They are so sweet.

M- Only child(ren) doesn’t always mean lonely (child)ren! My mother is an only child….and she was never lonely, because her cousins lived just down the street from her, and they were back and forth between their houses playing all the time! :)

Dani- I, too, see a lot of Marica and the twins. And assuming that the people who claim that it’s obvious they aren’t her biological children are saying that because, in their opinion, the girls look nothing like Marica….Well, that is one of biggest pet peeves (people saying that a child can’t possibly be his/her mother’s/father’s biological child because they look nothing like the parent in question)!

Just because a child hardly resembles one of their parents doesn’t mean they aren’t the biological child of that parent! A lot of children look like only one of their parents. And even if a child has, say, different colored hair or eyes than either parent, it doesn’t neccesarily mean they aren’t their parents’ biologically child. Genetics can be a very tricky thing! :)

@CeleBabyLover: I meant ‘lonely’ as being one person, not that it’s wrong to be an only child. I also know an only child who almost could not have more friends. He’s never alone and he loves it.

Whats the issue with CBB writing the ‘only child(ren)’?
They do it so people are informed, if Nicole Richie was out with Harlow they would write ‘also mother to Sparrow’ but if she had both of them they would write ‘only children’.

Savannah and Eden are beautiful, I cant believe how old they are. When I think of them I remember that Marcia couldn’t make Eva’s wedding in Paris because she was too far along to fly. Then I wonder when Eva and Tony will have a baby.

These girls have awesome hair. Lol. It’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown since there haven’t been many pictures posted of them. In response to M. Just because a parent has red hair, doesn’t really mean the child would inherit the color. My husband’s grandmother was the only one in her family who had red hair. Non of her 5 kids inherited the color. Out of all the grandkids, my hubby is the only one who has red hair & even then it’s turned into more of a darker autumn red as he’s gotten older. Our daughter has a lighter colored brown with red & blonde highlights. It all comes down to genetics.

I for one do see a lot of Marcia in the twins, especially around the eyes. I know that a lot of the speculation around the twins heritage comes from the fact that Marcia herself stated (before going through IVF) that at her age, she might have to use donor eggs. She has (as far as I know) never revealed though if they used her eggs or if they used donor eggs, which I think is absolutely right, because it is really none of our business (as in the case with Marion and Tabitha Broderick, the only ones who’s business it is whose eggs were used are the twins themselves, their parents and possibly their doctors).
