Volleyball star Gabrielle Reece keeps a tight grip on her girls — Reece Viola, 7, and Brody Jo, 2½ — as they arrived at the 1st Annual Children Raising Children Fundraising Event in Pacific Palisades, Calif. last Sunday.

It must have been a girls day out — dad Laird Hamilton wasn’t spotted with the towheaded trio.

Beautiful girls! Brody looks so tall for 2 years old!

Jacqui on

Gabby’s so gorgeous! As are her girls!

natasha on

Brody has grown up so much! Not a fan of her name but she’s a beauty!

Shannon on

Brody is a girl? She looks tall for age 2 1/2!

Ellea on

Its interesting that Gabrielle is half trini but her they’re all so blonde!! I know genetics is complex but you’d never guess!

Brooke on

Holy Smokes!! Brody Jo is easily going to be 6 feet like her mama….I honestly thought she was closer to 4 or 5.

Holly on

Tall tall kids!

Mira on

Very cute girls with kind of random names.

Miche on

That has to be the tallest two year old!! Beautiful family.

two4one on

Beautiful! Gabrielle looks SO AMAZING for 40! WOW :D

Macy on

Did she want 2 boys? Seems so by their names.

Jacqui on

Ellea, Gabrielle is half Trini? I did not know! I like her even more now!

Jessica on

Jeez with mommy being 6’4 and dad 6’3 both girls are going to be at least 6 feet. I like really tall women who are confidant with their bodies.

meghan on

Tell that to Reese Witherspoon, Macy.

natasha on

Meghan, Reece is the male version as far as I know.

Michelle on

Excuse my ignorance, what is half trini?

Ellea on

Reece witherspoons first name is actually Laura! lol but i dont see anything masculine about the name Reece.

Anyway yeah, i read an article and her father is Trinidadian but, he died in a plane crash when Gabrielle was 5 years old but she grew up in Trinidad and the US virgin islands.

Macy- Or maybe she simply liked those names for EITHER gender. :) Also, for what it’s worth, the girl’s middle names are both very feminine. Viola obviously, and Jo with that spelling is usually considered feminine. :)

Holy long-legged preschooler! Brody has such a sweet look on her face and Reece is so tall for 7. This picture makes me jealous. They look comfortable in their shorts & t-shirts, New England is freezing. California sounds awesome right now.

I like that Gabrielle Reece, named her daughter Reece. Regardless of what gender people think the name is….she is named after her, which I think makes it a great name!

I have a son Reese who’s almost 6 (10/26) – love the name and its not common. I like it better as a boys name and with an s rather then c. Still a cool name!

Whitney on

Reece looks like her dad…
I guess you could say the same thing about the names for my sister and I. I am Whitney and my sis is Sydney both originally male names. Now – Sydney is more popular and mostly a girls name with the “Y”. I don’t mind names that are boys or girls names for opposite genders… At least they have normal names that they will not have to defend or explain (Apple, Pilot Inspektor) and they won’t be one of a zillion in their classes(Madison, Ava, Bella).

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
