Ava Eliot Jackman, 5, is happy to have Hugh Jackman back as he arrives home in New York City after filming a commercial in Uruguay.

The actor, 42, brought son Oscar, 10, along on the trip to South America, while Ava and wife Deborra-Lee Furness stayed in the Big Apple.

Ava is just to cute! she has a lot of personality and i cant wait to see what she is like when she gets older… she will rule the roost (in a good way) as she already looks like she has daddy wrapped around her little finger. she is adorable and one of my favorite celeb child to watch.

SO, I recenlty heard that Ava is adopted and biracial. Is that true? I always thought she resembled Hugh a lot.

Meghan- Both things (her being adopted and her being biracial) are true. Her older brother Oscar is also adopted and biracial.

Yes Meghan, both children are adopted, and Hugh and his wife Deborah are big advocates for adoption in Australia. They adopted from the U.S. because it is virtually impossible to adopt under Australian laws, and sice Deborrah has dual US/Australian citizenship, they could adopt quite easily from the US. They also “chose” to adopt biracial children since they heard that it is more difficult for biracial children to find a new home.
