Samantha Harris’ Daughter Josselyn Turns Three!

Happy birthday to Josselyn Sydney Hess! Samantha Harris‘ little girl celebrated her third birthday on Sunday, Sept. 26th with a fairy-themed birthday party held at Plum’s Imaginaporium in Studio City, Calif. Planned by Jayneoni Moore, the bash featured a performance by The Jumpitz and a three-tier cake by The Sugar Fairy Bakeshop. Guests — including Marissa Jaret Winokur and son Zev, 2, as well as Ali Landry and daughter Estela, 3 — decorated their own cupcakes during the party.

A “giving favor bar” allowed the kids to pack bags filled with items from Skip Hop, Random House, Crayola and Fisher Price that will be donated to local Head Start programs via The Jayneoni Moore Children’s Fund.

Guests of the party received personalized gift bags filled with items from Name Your Design, Emily Press, BamBoo Hugs, No Slippy Hair Clippy, Jenerations Baby, Skip Hop, Fisher Price and Random House.

a giving bar? the kids fill bags and then give them to chairty? that is the oddest thing to me- why not just have the brands on the invite? HA HA HA
joss is cute- nice cake too but I dunno this party seems more like a publicity event than a birthday party….

Josselyn is beautiful. Zev is a little cutie and Estela is adorable! Love the cake!

I think it’s great the the kids filled gift bags to give to charity! What a great way for kids to learn to care about those less fortunate than they are! :) Also, Josselyn has changed so much! :)

What a beautiful girl!

I love the idea of the giving bar… it totally balances a big party like this by teaching kids early that when you are that fortunate to have so much, you need to also GIVE so much to those less fortunate.

I think teaching charity and generosity early is so good for kids.

What an absolutely gorgeous girl. Wow, so striking. She looks like a little Snow White.

Joss and Estela are two adorable little girls and Zev is just a little heartbreaker! I love the expression on his face in the first picture with the cupcake!

I agree with kat_momof3. When children have a great, outrageous birthday party like this one, I think the giving bar is a good way to put everything in perspective. For all of my kids’ first birthdays, we had party goers give to a charity what they would have spent on the gift. Every year after that, we ask guest to bring a small something, and donate to charity. That way the kids get a gift, but think about those less fortunate than us. They don’t need 5000 presents and if there is something they really want, we buy it. Josselyn is too cute and Estela and Zev are sweeties as well. Happy third birthday Miss Josselyn Sydney Hess!

The giving bar is a great idea, but the kids aren’t giving their own gifts, they’re just choosing stuff that’s already been donated. It would be better if they took half the gifts the birthday girl got and gave them to charity.

LOVE that Sugar Photography was featured on here! Stunning pics, Jen!!

Pretty girl & pretty mom!!

It doesn’t matter if it’s picking out pre-donated items from a pile or choosing something from their own toybox, the important thing is that they are teaching their children at young age to think about others. As they grow they can say, “Josselyn, you got so many awesome gifts. How about you pick one of these gifts and we can give it to a special boy or girl who would really like it?” or “Zev, we don’t play with this toy very often, maybe we can give it to a kid who would really love it?” Kids this age don’t understand the concept of my toys vs. pre-bought donation toys. Toys just appear as far as their concerned. The important thing is to instill values and a ‘giving bar’ sounds like a good place to start with three year olds.

Also Josselyn is gorgeous! Zev and Estela too! I can’t believe how fast all three of them are growing!

Yes, the kids look happry, but let’s be real. It’s a sponsored marketing event. Nothing is sincere. Not even the giving bar. I doubt Samantha even touched her pocket for this party.

- Rachel on

Wow Joselyn is a beautiful little girl! Those eyes are going to break some boys hearts someday!!

- JMO on

I have to agree with Rachel. This is not about her daughter’s birthday, it’s about money and promotion. I hope her daughter got a day that was about her too and not just this merketing event.

- Anna on

Josselyn is gorgeous and so is Estela…they actually kind of look similar

- weu on

Joss is absolutely beautiful. Estela is a beautiful little girl as well.

- Terri on

I wish Marissa Jaret Winokur would close her mouth when she smiles. As for the party how greedy are these D-List celebs…pimping out your kids party in order to get free goodies is JUST REALLY LOW.

- Nina on

Anna- Josselyn looks like she had a good time at her party. Isn’t that all that matters? I’m sure as far as she was concerned, the day WAS about her! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

CelebBabyLover – Actually, I saw the clip on ET and Josselyn didn’t look so thrilled.

- Rachel on

Cute birthday party, but typical in that it’s over the top because it’s a celebrity birthday party. Samantha Harris is beautiful and her daughter is super cute!

It’s too bad the pictures look so overly edited and photoshopped. It’d be nice to see something more natural with less manipulation of the actual colors. But, people go for fake these days.

Looks like it was fun though!

- NTCO on

Nina- Samantha’s smiling with her mouth open in all of these pictures, too. Why is that okay, but Marissa’s open-mouthed smile isn’t? And as for the free stuff, I get the feeling that a lot of the time, it’s the companies that approach the celebs wanting publicity for their products, rather than the other way around.

Granted, the celebs still don’t have to accept the offer, but I don’t think it’s neccesarily always the celeb being greedy and wanting free stuff. :)

- CelebBabyLover on

I can’t believe Josselyn’s already three years old! Both she and Estela are such beautiful little girls! :)

- Jennifer on

My goodness! Would you look at the face on little Jocelyn? What a little doll baby she is! So cute : )

- Patrice on

Really? You people are being critical of charity? What the heck do you do to give back? Why does it matter where the stuff came from, what matters is where it will be going to. If the party not only celebrated Josselyn’s birthday but gave to those less fortunate I see nothing wrong with that. Some of you are just so miserable in your own lives that you have to criticize the good of others. As for Marissa’s smile, she has a beautiful smile and for someone to make that comment shows your own insecurities and jealousy.

- Meems on

She is so cute and such a spitting image of her mommy!

- tilly on

Probably one off the most cute & beautifel three year olds i’ve ever seen! The little girl is such a doll..

- JW on

Josselyn is a beautiful young girl. Both her parents are very good-looking so it’s no surprise. Best of luck to Samantha on the upcoming arrival of her second child.

- Sharon on

Joss is one of the sweetest little girls ever
