When shopping for a car seat, safety is every parent’s number one concern. But your child’s comfort, as well as, how easy it is to install are also important.
Want a car seat that has it all? Try the new Evenflo Momentum 65 ($200).
Not only is it comfy and easy to use, but it’s also super safe. Check out our full review below.
Things We Like:
Talk about safety first! Unlike most other car seats on the market, it features an expanded zone of protection.
And the specially created foam is designed to reduce side impact crash forces by 50 percent and absorb crash energy away from the child.
Designed for kids up to 65 lbs, it’s also roomy. We tested it with our 2-year-old and 5-year-old and both were equally comfortable. We also had no problem fastening our tots securely in.
Installation is a breeze. Just click, click and push and it’s in — all under 60 seconds. Another bonus: When it comes time to change the level of the harness, there’s no rethreading necessary. It adjusts very easily to fit whatever size child will be riding in the seat.
And we haven’t even mentioned the machine washable cover that comes off without having to remove the harness straps.
Things We Didn’t Like:
Not much. Our only issue is the wide size. It could be prohibitive for families who own smaller cars or with many children. Also, because the seat is so big on the sides, it’s difficult for smaller kids to see out the window.
Moms & Babies Rating:
For families that want the right mix of comfort, ease-of-use and safety, this car seat is a perfect choice. Particularly when space is not an issue.
