In addition to striped tops and comfy pants, Naomi Watts and Sarah Jessica Parker also share a similar taste in bags. Both were spotted out and about in N.Y.C. with their kids carrying the Twee Mini cross-body purse ($550) by French handbag designer Jérome Dreyfuss.

Watts, who was accompanied by 21-month-old son Samuel Kai, wore the black version last July, while Parker rocked it in grey to take son James, 7½, to school on Sept. 13.

Despite it’s small size, the Twee Mini is great for moms who don’t need to tote a lot or are running quick errands with the kids.

Tell us: Do you have a fave small bag that you carry when you’re out with your tots?

$550??? Ah to be a celebrity.

Since I also carry a diaper bag, I use a marc jacobs cross body bag. Its so much more convenient than digging into my big diaper bag!

Over 500$ for a handbag? Seriously? You can get really cute and practical ones for like 50 to 60 bugs. But then again, they don’t really have to worry about money.

I like this site, but CBB kills me sometimes. $550 for a “mini mommy purse?” It’s not even a diaper bag. If the vast majority of mothers had this kind of money to spare I highly doubt they’d spend it on something so frivolous.

Oh geez. If you have the money buy it. If you don’t then go to Walmart and buy a bag. Get over it!! Not everyone has the same budget.

I bought the skip hop Studio that is a great diaper bag with a removeable little handbag that latches on the outside. It is cute, but not super fashionable or stylish or fancy. It’s convenient though for when I get to run an errand without my kids. I don’t have to spend any time moving my wallet, phone, etc. over to a new purse. I just grab it off the larger bag and GO!

i love jerome dreyfuss bags. although if i were to buy one, i would get a larger bag.

why are CBB readers so indignant about expensive things? i don’t see why you should have to wear a hair shirt just because you’ve become a parent! if you can afford it, why not?

as for me, i can’t wait for the day when i can carry just a small bag like that instead of toting toys, sippy cups, and snacks wherever i go. i love the clarevivier mini sac ($169) and rennes mini messenger bag (on sale for $80 right now). i also have a tiny rucksack for my toddler so he can start toting his snacks soon.

I agree, e. It’s all relative.

I carry a Balenciaga day bag everywhere. It’s big enough to fit everything from small toys, and a 2T sweatshirt to my little cosmetics case and my iPad. I can even fit a diaper or two if I need to. It’s one of those bags that you can just keep on stuffing, but it’s lightweight and never looks or feels bulky.

Does it come with a stripe shirt, or is that optional?🙂

People get up in arms because the majority of the people can’t afford the items they promote. If you are suggesting things to the “average” mom, these items don’t make sense. Pictures like this are no big deal to me because they are just showing what a celeb is using, but I hate the promotions of really expensive items. It would be nice if the site would show a bargain version of each item.

Relax people! Living on a very tight budget, I still don’t see why I should get upset that most of the stuff featured on this is stuff I couldn’t afford. After all, it is difficult to feature items sold at goodwill or the consignment store🙂
