The Rascal Flatts family has welcomed a new member!

Guitarist Joe Don Rooney‘s wife Tiffany Fallon delivered their second child, daughter Raquel Blue Rooney, on Tuesday, Sept. 7 in Nashville, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Baby Raquel was born at 4:26 p.m., weighing in at 7 lbs. and is 18 inches long. She joins big brother Jagger Donovan, 2.

“Tiffany and I are so excited to have brought a brand new baby into the world,” Rooney, 34, said in a statement.

“Raquel Blue is so beautiful and we feel so grateful to have this sweet little angel round out our family. Jagger is already an excited big brother; yesterday he gave her kisses and tried to feed her cookies! We feel blessed and are ready for the sleepless nights ahead.”

The couple, who wed in April 2006, announced the pregnancy in March.

LOVE THE NAME! I am not surprised that she is beautiful. CONGRATS!

Raleigh on

Not a fan of the name, but sure to be a beauty!

Marilyn on

I like Raquel, not a fan of Blue though. I think Raquel is the Spanish name for Rachel.

Lacey on

I like Blue, but not Raquel. I feel kinda “odd” that I know Tiffany(Playboy Playmate) but not Joe.

M on

Raquel Welch! va va voom
John & Kelly Travolta’s daughter’s middle name is also Blue

Rachel on

Love the name because my given name is Raquel. @ Marilyn, yes it is a Spanish name, as I am Hispanic. For whatever reason, I have always been called Rachel, but Spanish-speaking relatives still call me Raquel, in Spanish. Not like when they pronounce it for Raquel Welch.

Anyways, not to fond of Blue, but whatever, to each their own. CONGRATS, by the way!

Kimber Christian on

Beautiful name…Raquel Rooney….for a beautiful girl. Congrats!

gdfg on

Where do all these celebrities come up with the name Blue? Is it a family name or are they naming their child after the color or what? It seems very popular with celebs.

meghan on

Raquel Welch’s father was Bolivian. Her given name is Raquel Tejada. Welch was her first husband’s name.

And on topic, Congratulations to the Rooney family!!

Sílvia on

FYI, Raquel is not a spanish name. Raquel derives from Rachael and that is a hebrew name, that means “calm sheep”.
Either way, Raquel Blue is a beautiful name…

Brooke on

That is a gorgeous name. You do not hear Raquel very much….Beautiful

JLW on

Beautiful parents … beautiful children I Love the name!

Marilyn on

Silvia: My Spanish name in Spanish class was Raquel! Also, my daughter’s Mexican friend’s name is Raquel.

Corrie on

I love the name! Congratulations to them.

I was thrilled to hear this news! Another Flatts baby on the bus! I’m so glad they have both a son and a daughter now. Congratulations, Joe Don, Tiffany and Jagger!

Katie on

Kat on

Sarah M. on

gdfg – I don’t know where the majority of them come from. Maria Bello (ER, World Trade Center, etc.) has a son named Jackson Blue. She has said that she picked it simply because she liked the color blue.

Congratulations to the whole family! Raquel is a beautiful name and not one you hear very often.

Kristin on

Congrats to them. I love Rascal Flatts. I guess Raquel did not want to wait until her daddy’s birthday on the 13th to come in to the world. :)

Macy on

I like Raquel, I think its portuguese for Rachel. Not sure on Blue, kinda a boyish name to give to a baby girl

Izzie on

Congrats!!!! How is her first name pronounced???

Mallory on

Seems a little odd to have such an exotic-sounding name with three normal American-sounding ones, but hey, to each his own! Congrats to the Rooneys! I’m sure that little girl is gorgeous with two parents as pretty as Joe Don and Tiffany. :)

soph on

Izzie, ever heard of Raquel Welch? “Rah-kel.”

kmb on

he and kate gosselin (pre-fame) must frequent the same hair salon. lol. the name is ok- at least it’s not strange or ridiculous, so props to them!

Rhonda on

I don’t think anyone can hear the name Raquel and think of Raquel Welch. That’s who she probably named her for. Very stunning and beautiful, Raquel Welsh is just like Tiffany.

Rhonda on

I mean…they clearly like famous people names….hence the Jagger for the son.

CelebBabyLover on

M. John and Kelly’s daughter’s middle name is actually spelled Bleu, though. :) Anyway, I’d like to add another celeb kid with the middle name Blue to the list of kids already mentioned….Soliel Moon Frye’s younger daughter (who’s first name, ironically enough, is Jagger!). :)

Marisela on

Blue is a color so I really don’t find it gender specific.

Lisa on

Congrats on the new addition to your family !!!!!

Debbie on

Congrats!!

Romy on

I was wondering the same thing, why do celebs like the name Blue so much??

Whitney on

ha my now 12 year old cousin is Dakotah Blue…. (horrible name) so we call her Montana Red to make her mad….

Michelle on

Love the name Raquel. I have an absolutely gorgeous stepdaughter named Racquel (she spells it with a c). Meeting her made me love the name.

macy on

i bet the baby is beautiful…. i love the name …. congrats on the new baby !!!!!!!

Macy on

Marisela – if a guy had the name Pink, you wouldn’t say it was gender neutral.

CelebBabyLover on

Macy- I get where Marisela is coming from. Who says boys can’t have pink stuff and girls can’t have blue stuff (including being named for those colors)?

cynthia on

congrats im sure she is absolutley beautiful ive had a few sleepless nights as i have 3 week old granddaughter bu its worth it to see her beautiful face ………….and why do ppl have to be so negative i think her name is beautiful and its hers why do pll always complain its not there child Best wishes on your new bundle joe don&tiffany:)

She-shy on

My 16-year-old son is named Mitchell Blue…guess I influenced all those celebs who had babies after me :)

Loralie on

Congrats to Joe Don and Tiffany!

Now the countdown is on for Jay & Allison…

minnie on

Raquel just makes me think of Only Fools and Horses.

And to the person who said how is it pronounced:

“Rack” as in tennis Racket

and Kell as in Kelly.
