Mike Tyson, Wife Expecting a Baby

Mike Tyson is about to step into the fatherhood ring for the seventh time: The boxer and his wife Lakiha Spicer Tyson are expecting a baby in January.

“They are very happy and everyone is doing great,” Tyson’s rep tells PEOPLE.

The announcement of Tyson’s wife’s pregnancy comes more than a year after the former boxing champion’s 4-year-old daughter, Exodus, died when her neck accidentally got wrapped in a cord of an exercise machine.

Two weeks after the tragedy, Tyson and Spicer wed in Las Vegas in a private ceremony.

Mike Tyson went on The View in May 2010 and told the world he was “destitute”. That was his word, not mine.

It would seem like this isn’t a great situation to bring a new baby into, but I wish that baby nothing but health and happiness.

Jaedyn – I was trying to find that out, also. He has a daughter named Milan (born in ’08) with his current wife Lakiha. He has Rayna (born Feb. 14, 1996) and Amir (born Aug. 5, 1997) with ex-wife Monica Turner. Daughter Exodus (born ’05, died May 26, 2009 in a treadmill accident) with ex-girlfriend Sol Xochitl. He also has a daughter named Mickey, a son named D’Amato and another son named Miguel (I haven’t found the ages of these children). He reportedly has a daughter (born in ’09/’10, I haven’t found her name) with a woman named Kimberly Scarborough. I’ve also found a few places that he also has a daughter named Gena (I haven’t found her age, either). So, if all of these are true, that would actually mean that he has 9 children already and is expecting his 10th. The validity of some of these is questionable, but it’s what I’ve been able to find.

Congrats to them! I can’t imagine how hard it must have been (and still be) to lose his daughter and he deserves every happiness!!

Wow. What sane woman would marry a man like Mike Tyson? He has a history of domestic violence on record…not to mention 7 other kids with how many other women? I wish nothing but the best for Lakhia and this new baby, in hopes that Mike is a better person now.

Sarah M.- Thanks! I was wondering about the other kids’ names and ages, too! I wonder why Milan wasn’t mentioned in this post, though? CBB virtually always mentions the big siblings-to-be in their pregnancy announcement posts (the reason I’m not wondering about the older children is because CBB DOESN’T always mention older siblings that are from one of the parents’ previous relationship, especially if those children are a lot older than baby on the way, and/or there simply isn’t much known about them because their other parent isn’t a celeb or whatever.).

For that matter, Milan’s birth was never announced on here either, nor was Lakisha’s pregnancy with her ever announced here. I remember finding out on the post about Exodus’ death that Mike had just had another daughter (another poster mentioned it)…..and being taken by surprise by the news since it wasn’t mentioned here.

I do wish them the best with their new baby. As for why someone would marry Mike Tyson despite his sordid past: he’s super wealthy and famous. To some women, that’s all that matters, unfortunately.

Bancie1031 & CelebBabyLover – It’s not a problem at all! If you go to http://www.freewebs.com/celebritykids/expecting.htm, they have birth and pregnancy announcements, also. Some of the ones on there are also on here, but they tend to have more on sports figures than CBB does. Soccer is a very common one there. You might check it out if your interested. As to Milan’s birth not being announced, the first time I realized they had her was the same article CelebBabyLover mentioned. I didn’t even find her name until I started searching for the other names and birth dates in response to this article.
