Home again after vacationing in the South of France, an expectant Alicia Keys enjoyed a stroll in Tribeca with Swizz Beatz on Thursday.
The singer-songwriter, 29, and her producer husband expect their first child together later this year.

Wow. I never would have recognized her. She’s brave to wear those short shorts now that her legs are that big. Btw, he is her husband in name only. Their marriage has not been made legal in the U.S.

@kay Why is that worth noting? If it’s by “name only” why does it make a difference as to how he’s labeled on this site. I’m sure she refers to him as her husband, and that’s how he’s referred to here.

It’s worth noting because he is not really her husband. Anyone can call someone their husband or wife, but it doesn’t make them so. It is more accurate to call him her boyfriend, or her partner, or her baby daddy, etc. If past history is any indication, this will probably end up being to her advantage.– S.B. hasn’t been a fan of fidelity. He has even impregnated more than one woman at the same time. Ugh.

There marriage is legal in the U.S. It was legal before they even went to France for the ceremony. Anyways, she looks good… she’s getting really close to having her baby. Can’t wait to see him/her.

Wow Kay, how judgemental of you. I love how your comment has undertones of bigotry and total lack of knowledge behind it. And even if the facts are true & their marriage or partnership doesn’t work out how will that affect you? Will you have to pay child support or alimony? Don’t think so, will you have to raise THEIR child, again, don’t think so. And furthermore Alicia Key’s body is what a REAL woman’s looks like. She looks like she’s enjoying it and preparing for motherhood, best of luck to her!!

There’s nothing I hate more than women who wear short shorts who definitely shouldn’t be. If you’ve got cellulite on the front of your thighs, then you sure as hell have it on the back too. Don’t need to see that from all angles…
Short shorts are cute on younger girls…less than 25 years old!

And, no, I have no intention of supporting their child, but that doesn’t mean I can’t comment on their relationship in a public forum that posts articles about them and has a comment section attached. Last time I checked the only comments allowed weren’t ones that blow rainbows and unicorns up someone’s behind. Btw, Alicia’s body looks like some real women but not like all real women. Being a ‘real woman’ does not mean you are forced to gain a ton of weight when you’re pregnant. Some do and some don’t, but ALL are REAL women.

Kay, knowing or not knowing my name won’t make a difference now will it? Unless you can somehow track me down, LMAO. And calling someone a “baby daddy” sounds pretty ignorant to me. Lack of knowledge? The fact that you don’t know these people, or the facts about their relationship and what not. I’m not defending anyone here but one thing that I do know is that if I don’t KNOW anything for sure I don’t say anything so that in cases like yours I don’t sound like people like you. Unfortunatly just about anyone can make a comment, and even worse, an ass of themselves. Oh, and BTW I’m glad Alicia is rockin’ those shorts and doesn’t care what anyone thinks!

Kay- So just because anon didn’t use perfect grammar or punctuation means she doesn’t have any education?! She may have simply made some typos (we all do from time to time!), or English might not be her first language (not everyone who comments here is from the U.S.!). My point is, to put it bluntly, your criticism of anon was uncalled for.
Callie- That’s what I believe as well. I know a lot of couples who go abroad to marry have a civil ceremony here in the states first so that their marriage legal here as well as in whatever country they’re getting married in. Off the top of my head, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are one celeb couple I can think of to use for an example. They had a civil ceremony here in the states before going to Italy for their wedding.
Point being, it is indeed very possible that Alicia and Swizz Beatz did that as well. Also, with that being said, I think there’s a huge double-standard going on here. Isla Fischer and Sacha Baron Cohen got married in France just a few months ago…..but no one says they’re married “in name only” or asks whether their marriage is legal here in the states. For that matter, most celeb couples that marry abroad don’t get questions about whether their marriage is legal in the states (obviously this doesn’t include celebs who live in a country other than the U.S.!).
In fact, the only other couple I can think of that got those questions is Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Honsou (and, thank goodness, in that case most of the commentors seemed to be asking out of geniune curiosty in that case, rather than implying that there’s something wrong with being married “in name only”!). Why the huge double-standard?
Anyway, I can’t wait to see whether Alicia has a boy, or a girl, and I’m actually proud of her for showing off her legs, cellulite and all! It’s rare that a celeb is willing to show us their physical imperfections, and I find it refreshing. After all, most of the rest of us don’t have perfect bodies, either. Good for you, Alicia, for not being afraid to show that not even celebs always have perfect bodies!

Swizz Beatz’s ex-wife Mashonda revealed that his current wife Alicia Keys crossed the line big time when it comes to their children!
She opened up to Sister to Sister magazine about the ordeal:
On Alicia asking her son Kasseem, Jr. to call her “Mommy”:
S2S: You said that Alicia wanted your baby to call her “mommy”. How do you know that she said that?
Mashonda: My son told me.
S2S: And you told her that is not going to happen?
Mashonda: Yeah. I sent her an email and asked her to please respect what I am to him and it’s not right for her to think that is okay. She never replied. She doesn’t reply to me. She has never given me that respect.
S2S: What does Swizz say?
Mashonda: He said okay, he would stop it. He wouldn’t let her do it.
S2S: That would be kind of confusing for the child.
Mashonda: Oh, it is. It is so unfair to the child. I have been in contact with the little girl’s mother (the woman in England who has Swizz’s baby). She’s a young girl. She’s a spiritual girl. She apologized to me… I don’t even judge her. I can’t. She’s totally different than the other one. This other one knew. Alicia knew about me 100 percent. Swizz introduced me at prior events. They were signed to the same record company. She knew. And I emailed her and asked her to stop doing what she was doing and she disregarded me. Just like she disregarded me when I asked her to not have my son thinking it was okay to call her “umi.” You’re not his umi. You just met my son.
S2S: “Umi” is like “mommy”?
Mashonda: “Umi” means “mommy” in Arabic. I’m like no. And then after I spoke to the lady in London, she told me that she tried to get her daughter to call her “umi” as well.
S2S: She’s met the lady in London?
Mashonda: Yes. I’m glad she’s having her own child now because now she will have someone to call her “umi”.
S2S: Wow.
Mashonda: Like, if you want to be a stepmother, that’s great. Be a stepmother. But don’t think that it’s okay to make a kid call you “umi” or “mommy.”
On why she keeps talking about her divorce and Swizz’s affair with Alicia:
Mashonda: People ask me why am I still talking about this and why don’t I just leave it alone. I’m like, this is going to help somebody. My story is a universal thing. This is not just something that only happened to me: This happens to women every day. Mine was just ugly. If I can help the next woman get through and be positive, then I’m going to talk about it.
S2S: Were you guys dating other people before he got with Alicia? Were you guys separated?
Mashonda: We were married. Sleeping in the same bed and having sex every night while he was seeing Alicia. Okay? It was an affair. 100 percent. I don’t know why people want to change that rule so much. We had just had a kid, for crying out loud. Our child was 8 months. I found out about Alicia two days before my son turned 1. They had been doing their thing for months before that.
Tough stuff!
And what the eff is up with the “umi” and “mommy” stuff, Alicia?!
Well at least she has her OWN baby on the way now!

They are both disgusting people who do not deserve respect. Such a shame because Alicia used to come across as a classy, intelligent woman. Can’t imagine what she sees in Swiss Cheese that would bring her down to his level. Oh well, I’m sure she’ll see the light when he treats her the same way he has treated other women in his life. He pops out a kid or two and then moves on. Hopefully she’s been smart enough to protect herself from his tax liens, foreclosures, and other multi-million dollar debts. Karma can be such a biotch.

Disgusting is the person who wishes misfortune on others. The person that will feel good about themselves when another fails. You Kay are what’s wrong with the world. You may say I need an education but you need to take a step back and re-educate yourself. Learn about love & acceptance and when that happens I guarentee you wont feel the need to go on websites to bash people to make you feel better about yourself! Be blessed!

Wozzy- I’m not totally believing Mashonda. Some of the things she’s said might be true, but I find it hard to believe, for example, that they were “having sex every night” when he was seeing Alicia. If he was having an affair with Alicia, wouldn’t he have been with her some of those nights?
I also don’t understand why Mashonda is laying all the blame on Alicia. Swizz is just as much to blame for all of this (except maybe the “Umi” stuff. I suppose it’s possible that he wasn’t aware of it) as Alicia is!
In anycase, whatever went on between Mashonda, Alicia, and Swizz (for the record, I don’t think ANY of them are telling the absolute truth), I wish Alicia and Swizz the best of luck with their new baby.

No one has a perfect memory of events though we think we do, as time goes by “truth” may not be exact.

Anony-There is no need or desire to wish misfortune upon another. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. With S.B. that behavior pattern does not bode well for Alicia. Unfortunately many women think they are the ones who will change a man when they marry him. It rarely happens.
