Is Ali Larter Expecting a Boy?

Oshikazu Tsuno/AFP/Getty

And the confusion continues: Weeks after the expectant actress was spotted picking out blue and white baby clothes, Ali Larter — pictured here in Tokyo on Thursday — dropped another hint that she may have a baby boy on the way.

Promoting her new film Resident Evil: Afterlife, Larter, 34, made a pronoun slip while talking about the idea of having a little gamer.

“Possible gamer?” she told FOX411.com.

“Well, after watching these movies and hearing all the gunfire, I don’t know what he’s — it’s going to turn out like.”

Is she expecting a “he” – or an “it”? We don’t know, but one thing’s for sure: Larter’s pregnancy — six months and counting — makes her want to strip down.

“I’m just super pregnant, and each moment I want to take off another piece of clothing.”

haha! I love that she back tracked! Before I know my daughter was a girl, I always said “She” and everyone caught me.

She looks sensational! The pregnancy weight looks amazing on her.

- Ellea on

yeah, that DRESS!! i want it, but not a baby… :)

- neesoj on

I refer to my boy dog as ‘she.’ When I pregnant, I made pronoun mess ups. She might be having a boy, but she might just have made a slip. Love the dress.

Only time will tell.

she looks absolutly amazing!! love the dress and her wonderful glow!! she seems very happy!!!

Ah, that doesn’t mean anything if she doesn’t know. I hated not being able to use a pronoun before we knew about our little one, so there were random ‘he’s and ‘she’s in my conversations.

And I am buying blue for our girl, it is more my husband that wants everything pink!

she looks so amazing. I’m completely jealous.

Good for her, if she is having a boy. It’s definitely more trendy and hip nowadays to have a girl, but boys are so much fun.

She does looks great, and seems incredibly happy with this pregnancy, which is awesome.

Wow!She looks amazing, that dress is great! For some strange reason I thought she would be having a boy, guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Having a baby is neither “hip” nor “trendy” – its a beautiful miracle…. that was a stupid remark! Having girls is not any better than having boys!

- boyzrock on

It could be she is just hoping for a boy, so she refers to her baby as “him”, or maybe Ali made a deliberate “him” comment and talked about a little gamer to surprise everyone when she has a baby girl. Celebs do stuff like that to keep everyone guessing. We don’t know until she has her baby and makes the official announcement.

Hmmm….doesn’t matter either way, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a girl and she’s trying to trick us lol. Christina Aguleira was seen picking out girl stuff before she had her son.

Wow, it’s hip and trendy to have a girl? I didn’t know we could choose! :P

I laughed when she said she’s “super pregnant” when she’s 6 months along. Imagine how she’d feel when she gets closer to the due date! :)

I don’t know anyone who would say it’s hip and trendy to have a girl. What an insensitive and uninformed remark to make.

I have one of each, so my poor son got a lot of ‘shes’ in the beginning because for me the last time I said anything baby-related it was a she!

I do worry about her travelling so much at this point in her pregnancy though. She should be taking a little easier, as could a lot of other pregnant celebs that run around until the last second. Why take the risk?

- Jennifer on

She looks fabulous!! I think she is having a girl. It’s an old wives tale that when you’re pregnant with a girl, your looks change. To me, her features look different.

Jennifer- Ali has contractual obligations to promote her films. Also, from what I’ve read, as long as you’re not having a high-risk pregnancy, it’s perfectly safe to fly until you’re about 36 weeks along. And even then, most airlines will let you fly up until at least 38 weeks or so with a doctor’s note okaying it.

As long as she takes common-sense travel precautions, I’m sure she’ll be fine. Also, I’m sure her doctor has okayed her to travel. :)

Want the dress as well! they didnt have dresses like that when I was expecting 26 years ago.

- Shelly on

I think that the baby will be goregous. She looks AMAZIN! Good luck and cngrats to her and her husband. Love the dress.

- Awo on

Recent studies has shown that flying is fine through pregnancy as long as you stay hydrated and wear support garments. It doesn’t cause any risk for miscarriage or pre term labour, but flying in later pregnancy increases the risk for deep vein trombosis, so you should wear support stockings. The only reason why airlines restrict flying in late pregnancy is that they don’t want nyone to give birth during flight since they are not equipped to deal with that. A train, bus or car can be stopped at any point during a trip so that the labouring mother can be transferred to hospital, that can’t really happen when you are up in the air. So, she’ll be fine.
