Graze Organic: Reusable, Kid-Friendly Snack Pouches

Courtesy of Graze Organic

Packing lunches is a back-to-school rite of passage. And now thanks to Graze Organic, it just got greener. Their kid-friendly food pouches are not only made of 100 percent organic cotton, but they also sport fun graphics (yummy-looking sandwiches and pretzels, bright orange slices) printed with water-based inks. Even better? They’re made locally in Los Angeles to help reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Sturdy and machine washable, the cloth baggies are sold in sets. To get the most value for your money, we suggest starting with the Deluxe Set of 5 ($38). And if you’re going green in the kitchen, you might as well go all out with their adorable animal-inspired napkins. Our favorite: The Diggs the Dog set ($24 for 4).

These are SUPER cute…I don’t have kids yet, but would consider getting them for myself for when I go on trips and bring a lunch. Usually I use a bag. I would probably get the plain ones though lol. I also love the cat and dog napkins. I am trying to be more environmentally friendly and I love animals so those would be perfect. Thanks for sharing this store with us.

Totally off topic, but since it involves going green, does anyone use envirosax? I am considering getting some but I would love to hear some opinions. Do they make good gifts?

I really like the idea of washable “baggies!” I can’t quite tell how they close though. Is it a zipper pouch?

- Tee on

i think it’s velcro closing.

do they not leak then? like if you put some carrott sticks in one that you’ve just rinsed under the tap will it not leak through the bag?

- emma on

The bags actually don’t ‘leak’. Freshly washed veggies and sliced oranges leave a few moist patches on the bags that don’t transfer to the other bags inside a lunch box. We have a small little movie of the bags at http://www.polkadoptond.ca if you want to see them in action. They’re pretty heavy organic cotton and the velcro closure is really snug.

Lynnette- Thanks! This is something I would most certainly invest in if I had to pack a lunch everyday! I’m thinking about getting some for my father. He packs a sandwich and whatnot for lunch and this would be great for him. Do you have any idea how long they last before they “fall apart?”

These bags are so adorable! My kids will love using them at school since it has gotten very eco-friendly recently. The “mystery” bag is genius! Can’t wait to order a few sets for my neices and nephews as well.

Tee – Sorry for the late response. The owners of Graze Organic have snack bag that they show after 30 washes and they look like new. So I’m not too sure what their exact lifespan is but I can say that they are VERY well made!
