It’s a girl for Georgina Chapman and husband Harvey Weinstein!
The Marchesa designer delivered a daughter on Monday, Aug. 30, a source tells PEOPLE.
Chapman, 34, gave birth to “a girl named India Pearl in New York,” a rep for the couple confirms to PEOPLE.
India is the first child for Chapman and the fourth for The Weinstein Company chairman, 58, who has three daughters from a previous marriage.
The couple announced the pregnancy in April.

Erika…she was on PR last week! I love Marchesa dresses, Heidi wore one to the Emmy’s on Sunday too. Congrats to the couple but my god…she is way too pretty for him but obviously he’s rich enough.

She’s the founder and designer for the awesomely fabulous Marchesa!!! They make the hottest red carpet dresses that all the celeb want and yes she has been on project runway several times now.

Also contrary to popular belief that she married Harvey for money… she in herself own right comes from money and is a trust fund baby.

Congratulations to Georgina! I love Marchesa and Georgina is very beautiful and classy. I lost a lot of respect for Harvey given all of his aggressive and maniacal support of Polanski last year. As the father of (now) four daughters, his attitude towards the protection of children was appalling. Maybe this little girl can teach him new important lessons.

I don’t really like the name India, but Pearl gives it something…it’s a not a bad name overall.

Beautiful name, flows nicely IMO. Personally don’t know of too many Indias. My son is friendly with an ‘India’ from his school & here in NZ a well-known sportswoman named her daughter India, but it’s not hugely common I guess – but not necessarily a negative! Prefer it to the actress (can’t recall her name, Marisol?) with a ‘Rain India’! Congrats to the parents – dad is obviously inclined to producing daughters…

Georgina’s father is a multi-millionaire, and that’s English pounds, so probably counts as a billionaire in the USA. She grew up in the lap of luxury, yet started her own business at 13. If anything he married money, not her.
I think India is a lovely name, little Indie. So cute.
