Spotted: Drea de Matteo and Alabama Do Lunch

Splash News Online

Alabama Gypsyrose Jennings cuddles up to mom Drea de Matteo while enjoying an alfresco lunch at the Mediterranean Bar & Grill in New York City on Thursday.

The 2½-year-old brought along a few stuffed friends to entertain her, but it’s painting that’s Alabama’s favorite activity.

“She is fully talking, counts to 20 in English and Spanish and is a super artist,” says de Matteo. “She paints at her easel all day. It’s amazing!”

Alabama is the only child for the actress, 38, and fiancé Shooter Jennings.

Brendan McDermid/Reuters/Landov

Many a celebrity mom has sung the praises of homemade baby food, but how many will whip up a batch of sweet potatoes in their hotel room? At least one!

“We travel with a Babycook — it’s a little steamer and a grinder and so the first thing we do is try to find an organic store or food store and just buy all our groceries,” tennis pro Kim Clijsters, 27, confesses to CNN.

“Then we ask the hotel to put in a little fridge or empty out the mini-bar to put all the food in there and we try to make most of her food ourselves.”

Jenna Elfman’s Son ‘Gets Bored’ with Baby Brother

Eric Charbonneau/WireImage

As mom to a toddler and newborn, Jenna Elfman doesn’t have to worry about sibling rivalry just yet — son Story just isn’t interested.

“My 3-year-old, he’ll be curious about the baby but [Easton] is still only five months old — it’s not like he’s talking and interacting just yet,” Elfman told PEOPLE Moms & Babies at Dior Beauty’s private luncheon benefitting Operation Smile recently.

“Story just gets bored and goes back to his toys and trains. He’ll give him some love and a little kiss and then is like, ‘Okay, bye.’”
