She dares to bare … her baby bump!

Alanis Morissette holds tight to husband Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway while showing off her growing belly in a sheer top at Los Angeles International Airport Thursday.

The singer/songwriter, 36, is expecting her first child, she announced recently.

“We’re so excited to start our family,” Morrissette said in a Tweet confirming her happy news.

No she’s not….she’s way more talented and way prettier! Granted, I don’t like that outfit, but I had shirt that looked fine at home, and then when you beam light onto it it because see-through…so embarassing! Knowing Alanis, this was a fashion mishap!

Megan – different lighting. Believe me, I had a shirt I put on at home in the morning, went to work, and only then noticed my bra beaming through it! Some thin materials just react differently depending on the lighting. But I agree that in this picture it seems like a terrible outfit, but despite that, I think she looks really great

Alanis is DEF. not GA-GA, she’s 100% BETTER!!…IMO, the top was probably that thin knit type and it under different lighting/flashbulbs went sheer…I doubt it was her goal for the day to give the paps a flash!…Looking good Alanis, be well!

She is a twin herself-so it could be possible.

I remember when Angelina Jolie was pregnant with the twins Knox/Viv and there was a picture of her in like March 2008 and she was only 4 months pregnant-and looked 8 months pregnant.

Yeh i read it was a shirt that went see-through due to the light from the flashes of a ton of cameras, some clothes just do that it’s very annoying and you don’t know it’ll happen until it does. She looks great and I hope she has a happy healthy pregnancy.

Seriously, though… it was the flashbulbs. On a different site there were pictures of her in the sunlight out by an airplane from earlier that day and her shirt looked like a normal everyday shirt. Regardless, she looks happy and healthy. Good luck to her and her husband.

i don’t think she looks large in this photo at all. some women just get large early, or just large in general, and it doesn’t mean twins. i seriously get sick of ppl asking me if i’m having twins….i just have an abnormally small upper torso so the baby has nowhere to go but out. if alanis is having twins that’s awesome, but if she’s not, i can’t imagine she’d like reading all the twin speculation.

Jodie – I thought the exact same thing when I first say it! It would have been much worse if she had decided not to wear a bra!!

As for the twin speculation, I wasn’t saying that she looked too big. I was just responding to others who thought she did. That perhaps she could be simply because they run in her family. The twin epidemic (multiples epidemic, really, as there were 2 sets of triplets born to celebs in July, also) seems to be getting worse. And every pregnancy shows differently on every person. So she could just get big faster, or she could be having a set of multiples. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

I have had the same thing happening to me with thin knit tops (they look totally opaque in front of the mirror at home, and bevcome see through in strong lighting or flashes. It it very embarrassing when you are in the wrong company or being photographed… Though I have since learned to always wear nude bras under white or thin tops, makes accidental sheerness less obvious.
