Spotted: Camila Alves and Levi – Cat’s Meow

Fame

Are the Alves-McConaugheys expanding their family?

Model mama Camila Alves and son Levi, 2, carry a cat out of a veterinary clinic in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday after reportedly adopting the fuzzy pal.

Dad Matthew McConaughey followed closely behind, carrying a litter box for the new pet.

The fourth member of the family, 7-month-old daughter Vida, sat this trip out!

Haha, if that was my cat, she’d be long gone if I carried her like that. Especially if a vet was close by. :-) That’s a lucky little kitty and I hope they treasure it for many many years.

That’s an adorable cat! Levi and Vida are very lucky!

doesn’t seem wise to hand-carry a cat outside. a carrier would make more sense.

i don’t like cats, but i hope they enjoy their new pet.

- Allison on

We have two cats and they are treasured members of the family, hopefully this little one is treated the same way. Looks like a friendly little beast, very content in Camila arms, good tempermant for a family with such small (and adorable!!) kids.

- Bree on

Don’t they own a dog or two?

- Lorus on

We hand carry our cats outside all the time, especially when at the vet. The carriers are scary to them. More important things for us to worry about.

Bree, Maybe you didn’t mean it, but I took your comment to me a little offensive, as if you may think they can’t handle a cat as treasured. Maybe I am wrong.

- Jill on

Geez even their cat is gorgeous! This family is so beautiful. Love them! And love Levi’s hat. What a cutie.

@T bag… your comment isn’t very nice!

- Jen on

t bag- go t bag someone hah

Jill are you kidding me?? I hope all animals are treasured and loved, I tell everyone that gets a new pet that I hope they treasure it because there is nothing like the love of a pet, never for one second did I think this beautiful animal would be neglected or treated as anything less than a best friend. I had only the best of intentions with my comment and had you read my whole comment, not just the one part, you would have seen that.

- Bree on

Allison- I’m sure cats don’t like you either.

- Carson on

My dog is very well tempered (and tiny), so it’s fine if we just carry him. Carriers scare the crap out of him. I have no idea why, but he shakes for hours. Love my dog, and I know they’ll love their kitty cat. :)

- Luna on

Awww, a kitty! Matthew is a dog person, so I bet adopting this particular furry friend was Camilla’s idea.

- SAR on

Carson..i hope so too, that way they’ll stay far away from me.

- Allison on

Bree, that’s why I said maybe I am wrong. I did take your comment to mean something else. Glad it didn’t mean that.

Tbag? I would never value anything coming from someone with that name….troll.

- jill on

Lorus- I think they do….But, contrary to popular belief, cats and dogs often live just fine together. :)

- CelebBabyLover on

I’ve got two cats and my roommate has one dog. They coexist with each other quite nicely, aside from the occasional cat hiss aimed at the dog and the occasional dog chasing a cat up the staircase (which is especially funny because the dog is a miniature pinscher who is smaller than either of my cats).

- SAR on

While I prefer a cat in the carrier, it is a lovely and gorgeous kitty. She or he has beautiful markings. I have four children and love them all to bits. I have one human and two feline and one canine nd we all live quite harmoniusly. My cats however are in charge even of my dog and my 2 year old.

Good lord, that Levi is sure adorable! :)

Oh my cat fight

- stephaie on

What a beautiful kitty! I am allergic to cats, so I have to admire them from a distance.

Jill, I’m not sure how Bree’s comment could have come across as offensive but you did clearly say that maybe you were wrong. I’m sorry that people here on the site have felt the need to be rude to you, telling you to get a life and whatnot. You apologized for the misunderstanding and that- at least in my opinion- is what really matters.

Carson, why in the world did you need to speak so rudely to Allison? All she said was, “I don’t like cats but I hope they enjoy their new pet.” She said nothing rude or inappropriate, she simply stated that she doesn’t care for cats.

Allison, along with every other person here, has the right to voice their opinion and she did so in a very appropriate fashion. I’m really curious as to why you felt the need to speak so rudely towards her.

- Tee on

Tee, why did you have to even mention me and my conversation with Bree. I misunderstood what she said. I wasn’t rude like some people are on this page. I just don’t understand the point of you documenting my thoughts/actions.

- Jill on

Jill- Tee was DEFENDING you! She said she was sorry people were rude to you!
