Mini Must-Have: Leni Samuel’s Cute (and Charitable) Tee

Freddie Baez/Startraks

She’s may be only 6, but Leni Samuel has something to say!

Or at least her tee does.

While out and about with the family in N.Y.C. on June 21, we spotted the towheaded cutie sporting OmniPeace‘s adorable When I Grow Up, I Want to Make a Difference ($36) pink tie-dye top.

But, the company — which boasts loads of celeb fans including Gwen Stefani and Courteney Cox-Arquette — isn’t just about fab tees.

Their goal is to end Africa’s extreme poverty by 2025. Plus, they also support peace, education and human rights initiatives all over the continent.

Want to do your part? For every T-shirt you buy, they’ll donate 25 percent of the profits to these efforts.

Sarah McLachlan Reveals ‘One Small Benefit’ of Separation

George Pimentel/WireImage

After a seven year hiatus from the recording studio, Sarah McLachlan is back with Laws of Illusion — and a new tour to boot, in Lilith Fair 2010.

The singer/songwriter, 42, cites a complicated family life as “the reason it takes so damn long” to make music, noting that her father suffers from Parkinson’s Disease and her marriage to drummer Ashwin Sood recently collapsed.

“[My life is] terribly pedestrian,” McLachlan confesses to the Los Angeles Times. “There’s nothing special about it.”

“Half the bloody world is going through a divorce, more than that are having children,” she goes on to note. “All of us have parents who are dying, or have died. It’s just the life cycle.”

Virginia Madsen Laments ‘Battle for Control’ with Teenaged Son

Mark Sullivan/WireImage

Life with a teenager is “so full of adventure,” actress Virginia Madsen tells the New York Post, but there is a downside as well.

“It’s so hard, the battle for control,” she concedes. “It’s frustrating.”

Son Jack Antonio, 15, also has selective hearing — just like many of his peers.

“Sometimes teenagers will tune you out,” Madsen, 48, notes, “and they’ll rewrite history as well … They’ll pretend as though something did not happen, and you have to remind them about their wrongdoings.”

Kelis: I ‘Absolutely Love’ Being a Mom

Seth Browarnik/Startraks

When Kelis became a mother last July, after welcoming son Knight with ex-husband Nas, the songstress only had one regret: waiting so long to start a family.

“[Parenthood] is literally the best thing in the world, and I absolutely love it,” the first-time mom, 30, raves to USA Today.

Calling her 11-month-old baby boy such a “funny little creature,” Kelis reveals Knight — whom she jokingly compares to a “shrunken little man” — is full of personality and is already giving meaning to his name.

“I really just wanted something that was strong — something he could live up to,” she shares of his moniker.

Here Come the Brits! Mamas & Papas Cool Baby Gear Hits the US

Courtesy of Mamas & Papas

Unless you’re rocker Gwen Stefani (she’s a fan of the Mylo stroller), you could only buy Mamas & Papaship baby gear if you lived in Europe — until now.

Starting in August, the British-based company’s line of deluxe strollers, highchairs, bouncers and toys will be hitting our shores, exclusively at Babies R Us.

Here’s a list of our fave strollers from the collection.

Urbo ($499, above): Designed for urban parents, it clocks in at 20 lbs. Despite its narrow width, it boasts a large sun canopy. And it’s compatible with Graco and Maxi Cosi infant car seats. The ride is smooth for parent and child, plus the seat can be placed facing forward or to the rear for more convenience. There’s also a carrycot option, which is sold separately. Available in black only, it’s super easy to fold.
