Why are all his daughters named rose? is that cultural?

All of their first names start wit an ‘s’, also, Ellea. It makes me think that they were going for a theme with the names, not cultural. I’m not sure though.

I know someone whose two daughters both have the middle name Rose – a family tradition/used commonly as middle name anyhow. Seems unoriginal to me when there are many to choose from!, but has meaning to them.
Perhaps it was the same for Sly and his wife, or they just wanted them to be similar, as someone else mentioned. Seems kind of cheesy to me; we deliberately didn’t want ‘matchy’ sounding names and avoided for eg two ‘S’ initial names but their perrogative…I love the name Sistine, very pretty. Beautiful girls.

I think a few years ago Sylvester said all the girls have the middle name rose because you cant get much better than that. LOL or something along those lines. Kind of like how when Tony from Dancing with the Stars said his younger daughter has no middle name because his older daughter didnt & they didnt want to be biased.

He also has a son named Sage and I think another son whose name also starts with “S”. I known a few families that have done the same first letter theme. Seems like it would be difficult to find nice sounding names when you limit yourself like that but he has picked good ones for his daughters and son.

Although I prefer the names Sophia and Scarlett before Sistine, I think she is just beautiful! Gorgeous girls!

My sisters and I all have the same middle name. It’s also my mothers middle name (and a cousin) but there wasn’t particular reason for it. When I was born (the middle child) they were having a hard time coming up with a middle name for me and in the end went with Jane because they couldn’t agree on anything else. So when my little sister was born they felt like they had to give her Jane too. I think it’s stupid, personally!

He also has two sons from his first wife named Sage & Seargeoh. Sage played his son in one of his Rocky films and the other son is austic.

I am the youngest of seven and all my sibling’s first names, besides me, starts with an “M”. My dad was on some kick and I was supposed to be Melissa Kimberly. My mom switched it to Kimberly Melissa when he went to take my brother Michael to the babysitter’s house and boy was he UPSET when he came back and saw the birth certificate (he didn’t argue with her about it though). I am 32 and to this day I still feel like the black sheep of the family, lol.

Hello, Sylvester and family. You have beautiful daughters. I hope you daughter who had a hole in her heart is very healthy. I’ve wondered over the years how she was doing. I prayed for her when I heard the news. May you all be happy and healthy. I’d like to meet you someday,though I’m probably dreaming. I’ve been a fan of yours forever. I’ve enjoyed all of your movies,though I really liked the movie,”Over the Top”. What can I say,I wish my sons had decent fathers who gave a darn about them. You seem like a loving father. Iwish I could meet you someday. Or even,just talk to you on the phone. No, I’m not a stalker. I’ve just always wanted to meet or talk to you on the phone. See how your daughter, the one who had a hole in her heart and you are doing. I only bring p her because your heart must have been broken when you found out the bad news, because I was very sad for you and your family and prayed every night for her recovery. Well, it’s late and I have to get upin the morning to see one of my son’s off to school. May you and your family be blessed all the days of the year.
