Spotted: Jennifer Garner’s Frequent Fliers

GSI Media

Talk about a balancing act!

Supermom Jennifer Garner keeps a girl on each hip – daughter Violet Anne, 4½, and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 18 months – as she makes her way to security before taking off from Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

The trio were headed to New York City where Garner is currently filming Arthur alongside Helen Mirren and Russell Brand.

These girls are gorgeous! Wow Jen has her hands full lol.
Violet looks like Jen and Seraphina looks like Ben but I can see traces of both in them.

- Sadie on

Her girls are absolutely adorable!!

- Ella on

They are some very pretty girls. In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

- iluvperfectparents on

Violet and Seraphina are too cute!! Very pretty little girls and no doubt heartbreakers when they are older. Would love to see a little boy added to the mix!! Love it how the girl’s hair is blonde and both Ben and Jennifer have dark hair.

- Amy on

@ Amy – Ben’s mother is blonde.

- Sadie on

Violet is older than Suri? hmmmmm

- iluvperfectparents on

It could be that Jennifer and/or Ben were blonde as kids. I have two blond boys and both my husband and I have dark hair now but we were blonde as kids.

- Nicole on

My goodness those are a pair of beautiful girls. They always look like such happy kids and Jen seems like such a good hands on mom.

- Tracy on

Thanks Sadie, must be were they get it from.

- Amy on

jen is stong being able to carry an almost 5 yr old and 18 month old. the girls are cute, violet is all jen and seraphina is a mini ben. I saw a bunch of pics of jen with the girls in nyc, she doesn’t look the least bit pregnant like rumor has been, she looks fit. Love this family, jennifer seems like a hands on good mom.

- gianna on

Please don’t start this “she is carrying her child although it is too old”-discussion again! It was disturbing in the Suri + Katie thread already. We all know that everyone has her/his own opinion. So that’s it.

I love the family (as I said before). Sera is a total cutie pie, and so is Violet. I bet Jen is a wonderful mother.

- Jaedyn on

It’s not a bad thing to carry your kid especially in the airport, when it’s hard to look after both your kids and your luggage. And airports are such a interesting wolrd for many kids, mine always are running everywhere. Thank god nowadays most airports have areas for children.

- Linda on

It is interesting that by the second comment on the suri/katie post, there were critcisms for her being carried. Violet is nearly 5 and there hasn’t really been any direct criticism for her being carried along with her younger sister by her mother. I think there are individuals who just don’t like Katie Holmes and/or her whole family so they take it out on the innocent child, Suri. I honestly could care less about what celebrity parents do with their own kids because they aren’t asking me for any advice or to babysit, and they are not spending my tax money on raising their children.

- mrscabrera on

mrscabrera – i agree, i think there are some bitter mums out there.

I think we should butt out lol, they arn’t our chilren so really its nothing to do with us if they walk , get carried or fly around the place as long as they are happy and healthy who gives a tot.

Cutie kids :) so so sweet

- hayley on

I love Violets hair! I work at a pool and I spend so much time admiring the hair of the younger girls. We adults just do so much crap to it but its naturally beautiful on its own!

- Electra on

@mrscabrera
___________
ITA – If someone wants to carry their child when they are 10 years old they have the right to. If someone’s opinion is that at the age of 4, a child is to big to be carried, they have the right to that opinion too. My thing is why is it okay for some celebs to get passes but then when other celebs do the same EXACT thing nothing is said. This makes me think that sometimes some people actually say negative things based on their like/dislike of the parent. Everyone is free to their opinion so….. Back to the post, Jennifer looks amazing.

- iluvperfectparents on

Seraphina is so cute!!!

- Amy on

iluvperfectparents: Wow, you were just waiting from your first post for someone to say something about Violet being carried…well, you got your wish.

Those girls are absolutely adorable! They do each take after one of their parent’s!

- cris on

@cris
To be honest, I sure was because double standards on here, never fail. Then again like so many people always say on here, “this is a blog and everyone is free to voice their opinions”. I can tell you this though, you have NEVER and will NEVER see me make ONE negative comment about ANY celeb or their child(ren) nor to another poster.

- iluvperfectparents on

Violet looks like she’s disciplining the paparazzi lol I don’t blame Jen for carrying her with all of those photographers chasing her through LAX, I’d want to get through security as fast as I could.

- SadieA on

Beautiful family!

- mae on

Maybe she was carrying Seraphina and Violet got jelous and wanted to be carried too :) it happens with my daughters, i have a 14 month old, and a 5 yr old, and when I carry the little one sometimes my older daughter wanted to be carried too, just for a minute, and I think is ok, but then I explain her that she is old enough to walk by herself and I give her my hand or hug her, and that’s it.

- sgv on

Violet is so pretty!

- Shannon on

I had to carry my 5 yr old (who wouldn’t wake up) and my 25 month old down the stairs the other night during a tornado warning. 68lbs total and not something I would want or could do all the time!

- Amy on

I never understand the too old to be carried comment. If a child is feeling uneasy and wants to be close to Mom/Dad then why not? It’s not like it’s hurting the child or the willing parent. It’s not like they’ll be continued to be carried when they are 10, 12, 14! I carried my older daughter a lot when she was younger and slowly over time she asked less and less. Eventually it just went to being picked up to see things (around the age of 6/7). If the parent doesn’t mind and the child wants up then why not?

These girls are beyond adorable! I’m glad we’re seeing more pictures of them again.

- Lorus on

If their mothers want to carry them and can carry them then by all means do so. They won’t be be small enough to do it forever!

- JMO on

Gorgeous girls!!

- jessicad on

I don’t think carrying two children will make her go any faster than just having the 5 year old walk. It’s her choice but it just look so strange to see this huge child being carried.

- Anna on

Supermom? Why, because she’s strong enough to carry that big kid? What makes her so special while half the other celebs on here get ripped to shreds?

- torgster on

you know, I really hope that those posters from the ‘Katie holding Surie’ thread are feeling very ashamed of themselves right now if they are not critical of Jen. You guys made a lot of negative and quite disgusting comments over a mother carrying a child, yet here another mother is carrying her nearly the same age child and….nothing. Shameful. Personally I found both pics to be very sweet and wish both Katie and Jen nothing but happiness.

- Steph on

Lorus – that’s not true … my daughter is going to be 10 in September and STILL wants to be carried! Mostly when she’s too sleepy to walk or we have been walking for a long time ….. :D

Glad to see Jenn out with the girls …. it’s been a while …. I swear Seraphina get’s bigger and bigger each time we see her and boy does she change! These girls are beautiful :D Jenn looks great and very not pregnant :)

- Bancie1031 on

Get a grip people. She is probably giving both her kids a cuddle. My husband still carries my 7 yr old occasionally when she is dropping from tiredness.
Get over yourselves and spend more time worrying about something important! lol

- Hknight on

To be honest, kids grow up so quickly. I wish my 4 year old still wanted me to hold him! I miss those days!
If a child wants to be held, for whatever reason-then they should be…nuff said

- Allison on

iluvperfectparents i totally get where you’re coming from. the double standards here are astonishing. and i thought the same thing when i saw this post…. i don’t care if ANY parent wants to carry their child, it has nothing to do with me. i just don’t subscribe to one standard for one person and another standard for another person… people show their true colours…

her girls are beautiful and if she wants to carry them and is strong enough to (i wouldn’t be), more power to this lovely mum!

- JM on

“If their mothers want to carry them and can carry them then by all means do so. They won’t be be small enough to do it forever!”

JMO – I totally agree with you! My kids are both too big to carry anymore and I miss it. Thank goodness they both still like snuggling with me! LOL But I’m sure eventually they won’t want to do that anymore either. Enjoy the things you can with them while you’re able to! They don’t stay little forever.

- Ella on

My four year old cousin always asks me to carry her, when iam tired i tell her no sweety iam tired, if iam not i do carry her,& i sometimes carry her without her asking me!
Sometimes children love to be carried , that does not mean they are little brats , they are just children for God’s sake.

- Manal on

iluvperfectparents – it could be argued that your lying in wait for others criticism is disturbing in itself. Not saying that’s how I feel, just how it can seem.

Beautiful girls.

- Alex on

@Amy I hope the tornado warning didn’t turn into an actual tornado! That sounds like a scary experience.

- Jen on

Those are two beautiful girls! And how cute are those overalls? Little ones in overalls is just too cute.

- Lauren on

Beautiful little girls + beautiful Mommy. They’re growing up so quickly.

- Barbi on

Why do people keep saying Violet is not almost 5?? You sound like grade schoolers who are always wanting their birthday to come and talking about being 10 and 7/8 years old or something! She is not almost 5. Her birthday is in December. Therefore she is just turned 4.5. My daughter is one month younger than Violet and I certainly do not say she is almost 5. And there is nothing wrong with holding a 4 year old. I seriously wonder if those of you who make those comments are actually parents. My oldest is 9.5 and I miss those days. Trust me, soon enough they will literally be too old to carry. Nothing wrong with carrying them while you still can.

- Shawna on

Alex says:
iluvperfectparents – it could be argued that your lying in wait for others criticism is disturbing in itself. Not saying that’s how I feel, just how it can seem.
*************
@Alex- That is definitely not the case for ME at least. It could just as easily be argued for SOME people to automatically criticize certain celebs views of parenting and/or their children because it differs from yours or that celeb leaves a bad taste in your mouth is also disturbing in itself but I can honestly see your point.

- iluvperfectparents on

They’re both so boodiful! Honestly, Jennifer and Ben are so lucky to have such sweet, happy, gorgeous girls! And Violet and Sera are lucky to have such wonderful parents. I just love this family :)
PS On the blonde hair thing, my parents both have very dark hair, but mine, at 18, is still on the lighter side of blonde. I guess it just depends. I mean, my dad had blonde hair when he was a kid, so I guess that’s where it came from, but none of my immediate family have had blonde hair right into adulthood.

- Sophia on

Both those little girls are beautiful! i think violet favors Jen and Seraphina looks more like Ben, i must add i think Jennifer must have arms of steel to carry those two around all the time! lol good on her

- Lily on

I think it’s sweet when a child wants to be held/carried and the parent is able and willing to oblige. I don’t care how old the kid is, it’s sweet. As parents, we have to cherish these precious moments, because our children grow so unbelievably fast!

I am impressed by her, and any mom, that carries two kids at a time. I don’t think I’m coordinated enough for that.

- Fifi on

shawna violet is closer to 5 than 4 at this point. nobody is being a grade schooler, just do the math it’s quite simple. violet was born dec 1 and we are almost into august, that makes her 4 with 8 months. once someone’s birthday is past 6 months, you are half way thru.

- gianna on

I’d definitely be pulling the you’re old enough to walk now card, lol. Violet and Seraphina are so cute. Seraphina’s hair has lightened recently.

- Terri on

so what? I adore to carry my 6 y.o. in my arms, whenever she is allowing me :) just to feel her like when she was a baby and because in my opinion this is only affection. And I do like Jen also, carrying sometimes both of my girls at the same time, the other one is 2 y.o. so no complains from her side.

back to Jen, I adore this family because they look so down to earth and loving and just normal, nothing fancy or snobish, pure joy. :) ) both of the girls are adorable, later maybe they change the colour of their hair, it is happening all the time here, children with very blonde, almost white hair :) later adults with dark blonde, brown hair.

- lena on

When paparazzi are hounding us and our children with cameras, and said children, under the age of 5, are trying to get through airport security and boarded onto a plane…THEN and only then should we comment on Violet being ‘too old’ to be carried.

Seriously, she’s like 3 feet tall with adults pointing cameras at her and being aggressive. Heck, I’m 35-years-old, and I would still want my mom to carry me if that was happening to me! Let’s all lighten up on judging celebrity parents with young children.

However, Dina and Michael Lohan? I’ll judge those train wrecks all day.

- Harper on

It feels good to see people look happy, and Jennifer looks soooo happy with her two beautiful girls. I agree with an earlier post that Violet looks like Jennifer, and Seraphina looks like Ben. Am curious is the personalities match also.

IMO, Ben was blessed when he opened up his heart in time to get Jennifer as his perfect partner. They seem to bring out the best in each other, and now they can share this love with their two wonderful daughters. I hope they have many, many years of togetherness.

These girls are so beautiful! And Jennifer seems like a great mom. I’ve always loved her as an actress.
