Celebs and Their Kids Launch Sophie’s Book Club

Celebrity moms and their kids gathered Sunday to help Jayneoni Moore launch Sophie’s Book Club, a summer reading initiative designed to raise awareness and encourage children to open a book!

Nancy O’Dell, Ming-Na, Constance Marie, Kim Porter and more attended the event — which was sponsored by Baskin Robbins and Paper Culture — in Sherman Oaks, Calif. with their kids. Nancy, Ming-Na and Constance even read a few stories aloud!

Summer reads for Sophie’s Book Club include How Rocket Learned to Read, Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, Swim! Swim! and Duck! Rabbit! The event also included a book drive, where celebrity parents purchased new books to be donated to local Los Angeles preschools in low-income areas.

That picture of one of the Diddy-twins hugging her mothers leg is just to cute! And I think Sophie’s book club is such a great idea! I hope the celebrities bought a lot of books for the book drive.
